Three bands will be selected to perform at a special VMA concert at Six Flags Magic Mountain. The selected cantantes will have to battle it out in front of a panel of judges including Dominicana Kat Deluna and los reggaetoneros Alexis y Fido. The threesome will announce the winners en vivo!!!

Gloria Trevi continues to make her mark in la música…

The Mexican pop icon was recently spotted promoting her latest album “Una Rosa Blu” at Hotel de Las Letras in Spain. The hit album already went platinum in the United States and Mexico since its 2007 release, but Gloria wants to spread the success even further with a worldwide tour including fan album signings and concerts. Besides her musical career, La Trevi is enjoying her esposa status since getting hitched to Armando Gómez earlier this year.

Luis Fonsi recently revealed that his lyrics for “No Me Doy Por Vencido” saved a fan’s life. The “Palabras del Silencio” star shouted feelings of hope to a little girl that threatened to commit suicide. She sent him a letter and explained that it was his hit song that made her want to fight for her vida.

Fonsi also stated that he never thought his song would have such a huge impact:

En el momento que escribí la canción jamás pensé que iba a impactar a alguien de esa manera y esa es la magia de la música.

Leave it to Juanes to rock out for peace.

The humanitarian roquero is breaking political barriers by having his next “Paz Sin Fronteras” concert in Havana, Cuba on September 20th. This explains why the Colombian star was roaming the streets of Havana and visiting famous singer Silvio Rodriguez last week. Juanes announced his concert plans on Twitter and revealed that he will also hit up Mexico for the International Day of Peace on September 21st.

Question is, what is Juanes not willing to do to make the world a better place? We need more estrellas like him in this mundo verdad?
