Former Idol contestant David Hernandez was caught ditching the paps while heading to an audition in NYC. Silly Hernandez — even though you wanted to keep your Bway audition un secreto, we chisme junkies know it all. So what’s the rumored show that David auditioned for? Well he doesn’t say exactly, but he does make a corny joke about trying out for “Lease.” Have you seen Team America: World Police? We’re thinking maybe Hernan is referring to the Broadway musical Rent. Could we be seeing David on the Broadway stage sometime soon? It would be pretty sweet — that is, if he can find his way to 42nd street — fella seems lost. He still thinks there are pilgrims roving around Manhattan! [TMZ]
