Well, that’s what they were doing last Saturday when Harvard awarded los dos boricuas with their very own prestigious awards from the university for their contributions to the Latino community. Jaslene received the Latino Rising Star Award for her diverse beauty in the competitive modeling industry and El Daddy received the Latino of the Year Award for his charity, Corazón Guerrero, to keep Latino youths off the streets. Alright, you guys have waited long enough to see what went on behind the scenes with Pee Wee and Los Super Reyes that drew Karli Henriquez to tears. To fill you guys in on the chisme, Cruz Martínez and Pee Wee were in the Kumbia Kings where they both had a falling out with band leader A.B. Quintanilla. Cruz left the successful group first with Pee Wee following shortly after. Ever since then we wondered if Cruz and Pee Wee ever had any beef since Pee Wee was still B.F.F. with A.B. at the time Cruz made his split. ¡Oye rockeros! It’s that time again where hundreds of Latin rock bands crash NYC for the annual Latin Alternative Music Conference and we’re letting you in on who’s coming to this year’s event. From July 8th-12th you can have your pick on any showcase — and there will be plenty — for all your rock ‘n’ roll needs. La gran noticia of course is Julieta Venegas’ performance at Central Park’s Summer Stage on July 12th and it’s free! Phew, that will cut down on our entertainment expenses for the month. Okay, nobody get jealous but we caught Emmanuel, Monti and Chris from Menudo hanging out with a very pretty lady, Katelyn Tarver, in Orlando, Florida. Don’t sweat it chicas, the boys were just there to give their good singer/song writer friend, who you may recognize from the now defunct reality show American Juniors, some moral support in the recording studio. Plus, Monti and Emmanuel gave us a good laugh rocking out to one of her songs with some silly dance moves. LOL, those guys are too funny. FYI, Menudo’s new single “Lost” off their upcoming album is available now on iTunes so make sure to check it out and tell us what you think!
