Amigos John Leguizamo and Rosie Perez are hitting the silver screen together for a new film titled The Take - which hits theaters this Friday in Los Angeles and New York. In it, Leguizamo and Perez play husband and wife who take part in a steamy on-cam love scene. Problem is, they are such long time friends that both were disturbed when it came time to do the nasty!
''It was in the sex scene between husband and wife that things started to go bad. ... It was the hardest scene, very difficult,'' says Perez. ''I respect him so much and he respects me so much. I know his wife; he knew my husband and introduced me to my boyfriend. It was very awkward. Like [a] brother and sister having to do a sex scene.''
Hmm, give us a love scene with John Leguizamo any day and we'll gladly do the role justice! In the meantime, we've heard that The Take is getting rave reviews from critics with Variety saying this is Leguizamo's best role yet! Kinda makes you wanna go watch it, no? [StarPulse]
