Los Super Reyes were in the house as the funny bunch – Cruz, Abel and Jo-Joe – gave us the time of day for our quick interview backstage at Mi TRL. So what did we like most about interviewing these güeyes? That Jo-Joe seemed to be the butt of every joke, LOL. Don’t worry Blogamoleros, it’s all in good fun, that’s what big brothers are for! Check out our interview after the jump!

What are you all doing for Father’s Day?
Cruz Martínez: Well I’m headed to Cancun for my birthday. I’ll be out there for a couple of days. I don’t know, what are you doing?
Abel Talamantez: I have no idea. Hopefully I’ll be with my daughters, that will be cool. That’s enough for me.
Jo-Joe: Yo voy con mi papa a Cancun…con Cruz (laughs). [Joke]
What weird things are thrown onstage while you’re performing?
Cruz: I think underclothes are pretty weird. Some white ones, some off-white ones. Hats…
Abel: I think it’s a little weird when they [the fans] throw bracelets or necklaces ‘cause you can slip if you’re trying to dance (laughs).

Any rituals you guys do before a live performance?
Cruz: There are a lot of pranks going on before we go on stage. Sometimes what we do is we get everybody lined-up ready to go on stage and we let the first guy go and everybody stays back (laughs). So he goes up there [on stage] by himself. That’s a classic one.
Abel: Usually he [Jo-Joe] goes out on stage by himself and we stay (laughs).
*Jo-Joe looks a little confused but he flashes a shy sonrisa.
Have you made friends while on the road?
Cruz: Yeah, we made a lot of friends. The award shows are always cool because we get to see a lot of people that we admire as fans of music.

How about after parties?
Cruz: After parties are always cool too. I’m always at the after parties.
Abel: Jo-Joe too. He’s always at the after parties.
Jo-Joe: I wish…[with a coy smile…Jo-Joe is so cute!!]
Cruz: El tiene que estar dormida a las diez de la noche. Some times he can’t even go into the concerts (laughs).
What questions do you get asked repeatedly that you hate?
Cruz: I don’t think there’s a question that we really hate. We’ll pretty much answer anything.
Abel: Same here. I think sometimes when the fans say ‘Are you mad?’ and I'm like 'I’m smiling, I’m huggin you!'
Cruz: I think the classic one is…‘are you him?’ (laughs).
Abel: When they [the fans] go ‘Abel, Abel, Abel’ and I think they’re asking for me and then they’re like ‘Call Jo-Joe!’ (laughs).

Jo-Joe, do you tend to steal the spotlight because you’re cuter than everyone else?
Cruz and Abel: Ooooh!
Jo-Joe: Pues, maybe (blushes). I dunno, maybe. Puede ser que soy mas chiquito pero yo no se que tengo. Pues si, a lot of girls [like me].
Anything else you wanted to add for your fans?
Abel: Thanks for all the support and be on the look out for the tour. We’re going all over the place! We also have a special edition coming out soon of the album [El Regreso De Los Reyes]. Something special for the fans, like a short film. It’s a combo of all the videos we’ve done off the singles of this album. We’ve tried to do something special by going past the whole regular video idea and doing some interesting concepts where we go back and forth in time.

As we were chillin’ backstage we saw Jo-Joe walking around by himself when it hit us…we didn’t ask anything about his encounter with Pee Wee! No worries, we poked fun and asked him a ‘lil something, something about Pee Wee.
Who would win in a fight, you or Pee Wee?
We're cool (smiles).
How is your English coming along?
Jo-Joe: You know what, I understand a lot and I can speak...un poquito. It’s all about practice, practice, practice.
*As Jo-Joe left we had to wipe the drool off our faces 'cause this guy is totally cute! One thing to take note of, he's extremely shy and quiet but we're sure that's what gets him all the ladies!
