There comes a time in every successful Spanish-speaking artist’s career when they are asked the infamous question: When is your English language album coming out?

It’s no surprise that Wisin y Yandel were asked this recently during an interview. They did not, however, smile and happily and welcome the thought of singing in English like some of their reggaeton counterparts (cough, Daddy Yankee). Instead Yandel had this to say to his English speaking fans who don’t understand his music:

Que aprendan Español!

This Blog is quit interesting. I also wondered why the well known Reggaeton artist Wisin Y Yandel has not come with an english version in Latin Music. I would like to hear a version of there english version of spanish reggaeton. If they come out with a song and album that is an english version reggaton song, they will bring a lot of fans to buy a cd with an english version from my perspective. They are great singers, I have bought all of there cd's in the past few years and I think making an english song in raggeton will catch many people's attention.

First of all, Wisin y Yandel are not JUST singers - they are reggaetoneros too - meaning they RAP in spanish.duh.
Second, I truly agree with their response to the question asked about when their english album would come out. True reggaeton is in spanish, not like that crap daddy yankee does. get your facts straight! I LOVE WISIN Y YANDEL.

well as a huge fan of the duo dinamico i agree that if they r the hottest if they come out with an english version of there music they will nock the charts off by bein 1#!unlike daddy yankee pss,who am i kiding he sucks!word I LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!WISIN Y YANDEL<3

I'm 100% gringa, and when I get my hands on a new album from one of my favorite latin artists, if there is a song in english, I usually skip it every time I play the album. If an artist wants to release a song in english, that won't make me lose repect for the artist, I just have no interest in listening to it. To me, spanish is a big part of what makes latin music so great (along with el ritmo...). Latin music in english no tiene tanto sabor que tiene la verdadera música latina. Gracias a W y Y for keeping it real.

Yeah, estoy de acuerdo con Tina...I'm a gringa too and el español es definitivamente a big part of lo que me encanta de la musica latina...todos deben aprender español!
