Yeah, yeah yeah…Everyone’s hot on Julieta now, but we’ve been hooked on Ms. Venegas since her darker De Mis Pasos days. Finally, Julieta’s well-deserved praise has translated from Latin America to los Estados Unidos. With a successful unplugged album keeping her in the top five spots of the Latin Billboard pop chart, and a new single out, the Mexicana is taking the Northeast by storm.

Julieta received critical acclaim for her first-ever Boston, MA show and her maxed-out performance last weekend in NYC’s Central Park Summerstage. The performance was part of the Latin Alternative Music Conference that took place in New York from July 8th - 12th. The show was such a success that the audience entrance closed down early, shutting out music lovers and MTV employees alike. Gotta love NYC cops! Peep some of the buzz on la cantante:
