If you've seen paparazzi pics of Eva Mendes hitting the gym recently now you know why.
There's a new face for Calvin Klein underwear and it's brown. Yup, in an attempt to get more Latinos spendin' their dinero on lacy underthangs, CK enlisted la Cubana Eva Mendes for its latest underwear campaign called "Calvin Klein Seductive Comfort". Says Mendes about the brand:
I wear [Calvin Klein] G-strings all of the time on the red carpet and when shooting for a film because you don't see the [panty] lines. [WWD]
This new collection is designed for "curvy" figures. Guess CK finally realized that not every chica has the waifish ways of Kate Moss when stripped to her skivvies.
Calvin Klein CEO Tom Murry talks about the new initiative, saying the ads are:
A departure from more slender body types that have typically been used in Calvin Klein Underwear ads…This product is made for a curvaceous woman.
We're one step closer to getting goods that might actually fit us Latinas right? Pero, do you think Eva is really the poster-child for curves? Let's face it -- this Hollywood honey is still many patatas fritas away from touting the traditional trasero.
