Haters, don’t get it twisted…

Ivy Queen’s bass-busting vocals have been cutting tracks with powerful anthems for las mujeres for over ten years now. In a genre where testosterone runs the game, the Latin Grammy-nominated Boricua has managed to sustain a powerful presence from el barrio to the Billboard charts. Her last album “Sentimiento” represents her highest debut ever, and showcases her versatile style while staying true to her painful “corta venas” experiences. Her wounds may have healed, but La Caballota is back in the studio working on her upcoming album “Drama Queen.” Get all of the details from the diva herself in our exclusive interview right below the hood!

Word on the street travels fast! We all know the “Lovebug” rumors surrounding Selena Gomez and Nick Jonas, but is there another romantic connection between Disney estrella Demi Lovato and cantante Joe Jonas?

Rumors pinning Demi and Joe as the new down-low couple started crawling up the grapevine after the pair co-starred as love interests in the Disney flick “Camp Rock.” In addition, la chica collaborated with the “Burnin’ Up” singer for her debut album “Don’t Forget.” Despite their professional hook-ups the 16-year-old assures that they are NOT an item.
She states to Entertainment Weekly:
Joe and I never dated. We’re really good friends. I just think it’s funny that people try to pin me to them. It’s like, Oh, come on! I think [if I were going to], I would have dated one of them by now!

She adds:
Any girl that is a friend of the Jonas Brothers gets hate mail and is automatically suspected as a girlfriend.
We can definitely picture a dulce double date between Selena, Nick, Demi, and Joe! Pero, maybe she is staying hush to avoid all the haters. Do you think this chiquita is telling the truth? [MTV News]

We previously reported that Juanes plans on transfixing his bilingual fans with his latest track “Odio Por Amor/Hate For Love.” After word came out about his new single, rumors quickly spread that the “Me Enamora” singer was preparing to seduce gringo audiences with an English album. Fortunately, Juanes is setting the record straight once and for all…

The roquero cleared the air exclusively with the Colombian newspaper “El Tiempo,” and explained why he decided to add an English chorus to his new track. The “Gotas De Agua Dulce” musician clarified that his intention was not to become a crossover star, but to simply promote universal peace and love.
He continued expressing his linguistic loyalty to Spanish:
Cantar en español representa lo que soy, es el idioma en el que vivo, en el que escribo mis canciones. No podría pensar en otro idioma. Hemos cantado en lugares jamás imaginados en español y hacerlo en inglés o en otro idioma sería dar un paso atrás.

The humanitarian may focus his energy on global issues and his musical career, but he admitted that his most important role is being an active padre:
Estoy totalmente enamorado de mis hijas y de mi esposa, tengo la familia más bella del mundo. Luna (de cinco años) ya entró al colegio y está en clases de piano, canto y pintura. Me siento un hombre feliz por mi música, mi familia, mis dos hijas que son, con mi esposa, mi adoración. No sé cómo agradecer a Dios la felicidad de tenerlas.

Despite swearing up-and-down that she is NOT pregnant, Eva Longoria has continued sparking our suspicions about her mamacita status…

While the “Desperate Housewives” actress was chillin’ innocently with her hubby Tony Parker, co-star Nicolette Sheridan, and pal Mario Lopez, we are having our chisme radar on full blast! The foursome were captured at the VIP Launch Party of EA Sports ‘NBA Live ‘09′ at la chica’s Beso restaurant in Hollywood. Mario’s dimples may have been lighting up the room, but it was Eva’s curvy figure and loose-fitted blouse that really turned heads.
Exhibit A: We notice a small bump waving to us from her left profile shot.

Exhibit B: A casual booty pose that tries to distract us from the poppin’ belly.

Seems obvious to us! We don’t have a confirmation, but you know los ojos nunca mienten! Do you think Eva has a bun in the oven?

Ever think your textbooks in la escuela aren’t covering our full historia? We are continuing to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month by flippin’ the script and spotlighting Latinos who are worthy of a history lesson of their own.
This week is dedicated to las mujeres…

Lesson #1: Why should you know Cuban-American professional basketball player/reporter Rebecca Lobo?
Answer: This 34-year-old all-star was one of the first Latinas to take the basketball court professionally when she was drafted to the WNBA in their inaugural year, 1997. As one of the WNBA’s original players after leading the University of Connecticut to an NCAA Championship in 1995, Rebecca Lobo was assigned to the New York Liberty in January 1997 - but not before winning the gold medal in the 1996 Summer Olympics for women’s basketball as part of the dream team.
Lesson #2: What makes her an amazing athlete?
Answer: During the her WNBA career she played five seasons, winning All-WNBA second-team honors in 1997, before closing out her career in Houston and Connecticut. Off the court, Lobo is active in supporting breast cancer research and awareness as well as the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, the Children’s Miracle Network and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund.

Lesson #3: Favorite quote regarding being a female in a male-dominated industry:
There’s nothing masculine about being competitive. There’s nothing masculine about trying to be the best at everything you do, nor is there anything wrong with it. I don’t know why a female athlete has to defend her femininity just because she chooses to play sports.
Lesson #4: Where can you see her in action now?
Answer: Although an injury to her knee tried to shatter her career, she quickly made a new one as a sports commentator. You can still catch her on the court as a reporter for ESPN with a focus on women’s college basketball and WNBA games.
We are unleashing our pride with other must-read profiles throughout the month. Be sure to dump your notebooks because these lessons only require corazón!

We spotted Selena Gomez cheering for her novio Nick Jonas on-stage (with a standing ovation!) at “Dancing With The Stars” last week, but we hear that the estrella was also “Burnin’ Up” for someone else…

It turns out Selena was also cheering for Kim Kardashian! The 16-year-old Disney actress admits that she is rooting for the reality star to win the competition. Word is that la chiquita will be voting non-stop for the curvaceous brunette.
Luckily, that isn’t the only way Gomez is choosing to spend her time. Besides actively supporting UR Votes Count, the “Tell Me Something I Don’t Know” singer is also representing for the AmberWatch charity.
She spent quality time with lucky fans over the weekend…

And even rocked out a softball game!
