YOU KNOW THE DRILL! We are continuing to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month by flippin’ the script and spotlighting Latinos who are worthy of a history lesson of their own.
This week's profile is all about the gold...

Lesson #1: Why should you know Chicano wrestler and Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo?
Answer: This 21-year-old can rough-up any hardcore gangster or boxing pro with his hard-hitting movimientos! Cejudo was representing for his red, white, and blue during the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and became the first American to win a gold medal in freestyle wrestling in the last sixteen years. As if lifting 55-kilogram (121 pounds) isn't impressive enough, the Los Angeles native also won a silver medal at three of the past four Olympics.
Lesson #2: What makes him an amazing athlete?
Answer: Cejudo was discovered for his endurance and mega-strength at the tender age of sixteen. In 2006, he became the first high school athlete to win U.S. Nationals, which pays tribute to his intense workout routine. Besides bench-pressing like a beast, the young gold medalist has been trained on the football field, which means major treadmill sprints and super intense stretching!
Lesson #3: Favorite quote regarding family and ambition:
We always moved forward. We always moved forward. My mom always taught us to suck it up and whatever you want to do, you can do. And that's what I did.
Definitely keep your eyes peeled for this chico during the 2012 Olympics! Our profile series are a limited edition so be sure to dump your notebooks because these lessons only require corazón!
