TRL Says Adios with Boy Bands and VJs of Yore

Mi amigos, it’s the end for pop culture institution, and Times Square traffic-jam inducing phenomenon TOTAL REQUEST LIVE.

Co-hosted by TRL top agents past (Carson Daly) and present (Damien Fahey), TRL gave its final Adios en vivo yesterday, with help from a “revolving door” of celebs and old friends.

Highlights from el final de TRL included:

- celebs Snoop Dogg, P. Diddy, Taylor Swift, Hilary Duff, Justin Timberlake and Good Charlotte’s Benji and Joel Madden stopping by the TRL hizzouse

- booty-poppin’ performances with songs new and old from Beyonce AKA Sasha Fierce, Fall Out Boy, Ludacris, 50 Cent and Backstreet Boys

- a countdown of the top TRL moments, including past celeb appearances from Michael Jackson and Eminem that caused street crowding by TRL fanáticos, performances from Britney Spears and Kanye West, and a harmonica shout-out from Stevie Wonder

- a countdown of the top ten most influential music videos from the past decade including Britney Spears “Hit Me Baby One More Time” and Rihanna’s “Umbrella”

- Veteran VJ appearances including pioneer host Carson Daly, Vanessa Minnillo, street hobo Jesse Camp and Quddus.  Also holding down the fort with Latina flava were former TRL and Mi TRL VJs, La La Vaszquez and Suzy Castillo

- Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez of *NSync and Backstreet Boys bringing boy pop back with mini reunions

- Kid Rock chillin’ (cigarro en mano) with Beyonce’s band, leading an impromptu song session

- Nelly giving big ups to reality mean girl Heidi Montag for rapping on a past episode of TRL

- Fall Out Boy adopting Carson Daly’s dressing room as their command center for the day
