Enrique Iglesias sells out venues faster than crazed fans throw their undies at him, but is the "Away" singer responsible for pimping-out the priciest concert tickets ever?
The "Lloro Por Ti" pop icon has some fans tearing about the price tag placed on his December 22nd performance in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Since it's Enrique's first time back to the country in ten years, the highly desired tickets are being sold for $150. The triple digits may blow our minds in this suffering economy, but just imagine Bolivians who earn an average of $78 a month. As a result, the Spanish estrella has officially set the record for the most expensive concert in Bolivia's history.
We recently spoke to Enrique about how he runs business:
En mi carrera mientras menos pienso en el negocio a veces más dinero gano y lo digo porque a veces si te enfocas mucho en ganar dinero puede ser un grave error porque al fin y al cabo lo que tenemos que hacer es canciones y nos tenemos que preocupar de cantar buenas canciones y escribir buenas canciones; así que si te preocupas demasiado por el negocio, en el caso mío me ha hecho daño.
