Chants of ¡Sí se puede! dominated la noche at the Latino Inaugural Gala last night in Washington, D.C. Forget your local news and watch Blogamole's exclusive coverage, including an interview with Shakira courtesy of MTV Tr3s and Terra Networks.

The "Pies Descalzos" activist rocked la alfombra roja and made her voz heard at the historic event sponsored by several Latino organizations like the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI), the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and Voto Latino. La ciudad transformed into the epicenter of legendary Latinos who formed a Hollywood block party celebrating President-elect Barack Obama's victoria.
The stage was dominated by la diva Paulina Rubio, salsero Marc Anthony, ranchera Lila Downs, and Colombiano Alejandro Sanz. All of the performances offered variety to la fiesta, but it was J.Lo's hubby who managed to heighten our sweat glands with a romantic shout-out to las mujeres. The celeb roster also getting included George Lopez, Rosario Dawson, Wilmer Valderrama, Rosie Perez, and muchos más.
Shaki may not have shaken her infamous hips on-stage, but la chica grabbed the mic and spoke to Terra about her real thoughts on Barack Obama's symbolic win and our political future. Check out the exclusive interview with Shakira and represent your own political shout-outs aquí!
