If it does, we don't blame you! La telenovela Mexicana Sortilegio already has tons of drama, betrayal, and shows promise of a very complicated and sure-to-be-sexy romance...
Starring the source of many chismes, William Levy, as Alejandro, the beautiful Jacqueline Bracamontes as María José, and Davíd Zepeda playing Bruno, el villano, it's no wonder this novela has been causing such a buzz. So far, the plot seems deliciosamente complicada, but that's exactly why we like it!
It's a tale of two brothers, who live as brothers, and think they're not brothers, but they are brothers, just with different mothers, and the good brother wants to be friends, but the bad brother wants to kill the good brother, and it seems that both brothers will want to be with María... Did you get all that? Oh brother!!
Not even William's real life saga with on-again, off-again girlfriend and baby mama Elizabeth Gutierrez gets this confusing! Yes, there were those pesky rumors of romance between Levy and co-star Bracamontes, but Elizabeth's new pregnancy is quickly putting those to rest. For now anyway...
In any case, even with all the plastic surgery seen on some of the stars so far (Maria Victoria y hasta Fernando Allende), Sortilegio has definitely intrigued us, so stay tuned for our take on it here on Blogamole every Thursday! [People En Español]

Érase una vez, there were two married couples where the husbands were best friends. One of the husbands (Antonio) fell in love with his best friend's wife (Victoria), they had a secret affair, and she got preggers. Victoria's husband se puso furioso, and moved them to Europe where she gave birth to fraternal twins, Bruno and Raquel, who were never told they were really hijos de Antonio. Meanwhile, Antonio's wife also gets pregnant and they have a son (Alejandro) who's a few years younger than his other siblings. As fate (or good novela plotlines) would have it, Victoria's husband dies of illness, Antonio's wife had died during childbirth, and they all end up living together as a family sin saber that they're actually all Antonio's children and blood-related.
And now that everyone's grown up... Antonio has died in a lame motorcycle accident. He tripped on flat road while on crutches and bumped into a passing motorcycle that wasn't even speeding... Brush it off, it's just a scratch! Pero de todas maneras, he died, and left the responsible and kind (and gorgeous) Alejandro in charge of his company, because it was clear that the malicious and resentful Bruno was too irresponsible to handle it.
Y entonces, the plot thinkens because Bruno's been lying to María José by impersonating Alejandro, and married her by forging his signature. His plan is to have Alejandro killed so that he can get to keep the company, the money, and the girl. Alex and Mari haven't met yet, but if all goes to traditional telenovela plan, it should be love at first sight! ::sigh::
