We all remember Salma Hayek when she was just a young telenovela star. No? Ok, we lied, neither do we but that doesn’t include Salma’s biggest fan! The actress was asked to autograph a 1988 photo of her with the cast of her old telenovela, Un Nuevo Amanecer. Salma refused to sign because, apparently, the photo looked nothing like her. This, of course, left her fan crushed. In Salma’s defense, that photo was taken in 1988. Anyone who lived through the 80’s wouldn’t be able to recognize themselves during those hideous fashion days! OMG, this poor kid. David Archuleta is standing out like a sore thumb because of his father’s ridiculous backstage antics. This is such a happy time for David why, oh why, must his father ruin the fun? Remember when David forgot the lyrics to “We Can Work It Out”? Well, David allegedly got a yelling for that equivocación and it’s already been confirmed by Naomi Judd about Jeff Archuleta’s domineering ways. We have a thought. You know why David Archuleta looks like he’s going to pass out every time he gets in front of the judges? It’s because he’s scared of getting the wrath of his papi! Yesterday may have been Mother’s Day but Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were able to get away and catch the Lakers game while the two were in Utah. Of course Zac and Van celebrated the holiday together with their moms for brunch before running off to the game. They were seen kissing and hugging by their courtside seats. The actress is finally gettin’ props as the ‘Big Boss Lady’ for a new movie, Queen of the South, a Scarface-inspired story about a Mexican narcotics crime boss who becomes the lead drug smuggler in Spain. Mendes reportedly beat out Jennifer Lopez and Penélope Cruz for the role! Great choice, Penélope looks too innocent and we hate to admit it but J.Lo’s new madrecita image just doesn’t fit the part. The movie is a screen adaptation of Arturo Perez Reverte’s crime novel, La Reina del Sur. No news yet on when the movie is set to release. [Cinematical]
