Daddy Yankee Assures He Will Not Drop All-English Album

You heard it right…

Daddy Yankee is deciding to stick to his Spanish-speaking roots for his upcoming album. Despite recent rumors claiming that El Cangri has been lacing several tracks in English, the reggaetonero wants his fans to know that he is not speaking en Inglés in the recording studio.

According to RitmosonLatino.com, Daddy Yankee explains:

Lo descarté porque en el ambiente latino hay más negocio. Los artistas americanos están sufriendo en muchas áreas, en términos de presentaciones. Y los latinos, pues ese es el área fuerte de nosotros, que siempre hay fiesta y algarabía en término de shows en vivo.

Flex Screams ‘Te Quiero’ With Eight Latin Billboard Wins!

Flex won big at last night’s 2009 Latin Billboard Awards at the BankUnited Center in Miami!!!

He did tell us he was going to make history! The Panamanian star is used to spreading his romantic style, but it was time for fans to scream “Te Quiero” in return. Besides throwing down an electrifying performance complete with on-stage fireworks and a unisex dance crew, Flex also snatched the golden premios for categories including, “Hot Latin Song of the Year” and “Latin Album of the Year.” Claro, he made his acceptance speeches as entertaining as his dance moves with his random “es que te quiero” bursts of melodies on stage.

Apparently, Daddy Yankee is also turning up his hustle in order to survive the recession. Besides touring in Latin America and launching a child care center in the Dominican Republic, the Big Boss is dropping his latest catchy single, “Qué tengo que hacer.” Keeping his mind on his money (and his money on his mind) El Cangri has the perfect remedy to conquering the recesssion while making top dollar.

ThePose singer recently revealed:

Tengo que seguir trabajando fuerte en términos de negocios, el mundo está pasando por una recesión y si antes salías dando el máximo, ahora hay que darle todo porque no podemos dar ventaja.

Aventura and Daddy Yankee rocked la noche at the annual Premios Casandra in Dominican Republic yesterday. The special evening is dedicated to the top players in Latin entertainment, and the “El Perdedor” grupo proved their winning spirit by snagging two awards for “Concert of the Year” and “Most Popular International Group.” The Big Boss also celebrated a victorious win by taking home the ultimate “Casandra Internacional” award.

Daddy Yankee Looks-Out For Barrios And Babies In DR

Sorry haters. Daddy Yankee is responsible for more than selling “Talento de Barrio” and his DY cologne…

The Boricua reggaetonero is also saying ‘Welcome to Daddy’s House‘ to thousands of chicos in the Dominican Republic. Daddy Yankee recently inaugurated a child care center in El Tamarindo, a barrio outside of la capital which is frequently effected by hurricanes. Through his charity organization “Corazón Guerrero,” the institution will help provide food and shelter to underprivileged familias in the area.

El Cangri spent the first day participating in community service by feeding los niños at the center. He says:

República Dominicana es un país que me ha dado muchísimo, pero cuando visito esta tierra siempre hay una necesidad bien grande y muchos niños sin comer que me tocan el corazón.

Daddy Yankee Snatches Casandra International Award In D.R.

Daddy Yankee will be honored at the 25th annual Casandra International Awards in Dominican Republic. The awards are dedicated to legendary and successful Latinos in entertainment. The event is being sponsored by “The National Association of Arts” and will be taking place on March 24th. El Cangri is set to share the limelight with nominees, David Bisbal and Paloma San Basilio.

Daddy Yankee Writes Check For $15 Million?!

We all know help ain’t cheap…

Daddy Yankee has spilled major billetes for his community efforts in Puerto Rico, including donating to the Warrior’s Heart Foundation to help young inmates continue their education, but has El Cangri dropped $15 million to a new charity initiative. Bueno, sort of.

The “Talento Barrio” star is continuing his community efforts by participating in the “I’m Part of the Work” campaign, which promises to rebuild and expand the national Art Museum in Ponce. He won’t be spitting-out all of the cash, but he is planning on signing-on more donors.

Daddy Yankee Hits-Up Festival de Viña del Mar In Chile

Ring the alarm! Daddy Yankee’s “Llamado de Emergencia” is taking over Chile!

The mogul reggaetonero will be traveling to Chile for the annual musical carnival, Festival de Viña del Mar. The five-day concert series has a golden star line-up, which includes performances by Miley Cyrus, Juanes, R.K.M & Ken-Y, Marc Anthony, and Julieta Venegas just to name a few. Daddy Yankee is set to hit el escenario on February 27th. Turns out his concert in La Quinta Vergara has already reached record-selling ticket sales.
