Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna have officially made box office history in Mexico.

Their latest film, “Rudo y Cursi” premiered just last week and has already earned $1.4 million, making it the fifth highest grossing film in Mexican cinema. The dramatic comedy directed by Carlos Cuaron, playfully depicts the dysfunctional relationship between to pro soccer-playing siblings who attempt to one-up each other with every goal.

We hear that the flick is so good, that Sony Classics has started a bidding war to acquire the rights to feature the film during the Sundance Film Festival beginning January 15th. These chavos make a pretty good on-screen team no? [Reuters]

Special delivery! Lovebirds Diego Luna and Camila Sodi officially welcomed their baby boy Jerónimo at a Los Angeles hospital yesterday. While Luna’s publicist was not available for comment, Camila’s tia Laura Zapata confirmed the new family addition. The young couple met on the set of “The Night Buffalo” and married back in February.

It looks like the “Y Tu Mamá También” duo are about to conquer fatherhood. While Diego Luna’s novia and Thalia’s niece Camila Sodi is expecting to give birth any day now, Gael García Bernal is also preparing to get a pequeño visit from the stork.

Bernal’s longtime girlfriend, Argentinian actress Dolores Fonzi is said to be due this December. Although neither has mentioned a word to the press, friends of both the actors have confirmed that Fonzi is indeed knocked-up.

The super secret celeb couple, Diego Luna and Camila Sodi, were seen last week at the inauguration of this year’s Mexican Festival where Camila Sodi was looking semi preggers at six months. La pareja have not yet confirmed any baby rumors or even the fact that they’re married, so it looks like we got another Beyoncé and Jay Z on our hands. UPDATE: Camila Sodi’s madre, Ernestina Sodi, who is the sister of famous singer Thalia, has confirmed that her hija is pregnant with Diego’s child!

After watching the video of Diego Luna as a Michael Jackson impersonator for his star role in Mister Lonely we are clearly dumbfounded on what to think of his new look but nonetheless it’s pretty damn interesting! In a fairytale sort of way. You gotta think outside the box para esta película chicos! As soon as we get our asses to the screening next week we’ll let you know if it’s a hit or miss.
