The clouds and rain drops were no match to the prideful celebration at yesterday's Puerto Rican Day Parade...
Thousands of Boricuas lifted their banderas up high during the festival that spanned twenty eight blocks in Spanish Harlem. The chants may have echoed throughout the five-boroughs, but New York City was the best location to spot all of the Puerto Rican estrellas. Tito El Bambino represented the special red, white, and blue flag to the fullest and made sure to give his devoted shout-outs to his fans along with other stars including, Alexis y Fido, Jaslene Gonzalez, Bernie Williams, and Victor Manuelle.

From the rumors of a romance with hometown homie, Yung Berg, to a New York love affair with producer extraordinaire, Ryan Leslie. The cha cha diva was seen hugging-up with the Harvard alum Tuesday night at the 9th Annual Rush Philanthropic Art Foundation Youth Holiday in NYC. Jaslene was there to spread holiday cheer by giving away SOUTHPOLE and LOT29 coats to the crowd.
Russell Simmons also spent la noche handing out free getups for the organization dedicated to providing disadvantaged urban youth with significant exposure and access to the arts, as well as providing exhibition opportunities to under-represented artists.
Sources say that Jaslene and Ryan were smitin' on each other the entire night. There is no fooling us...looks like Jaslene is Ryan's new "Diamond Girl"!

Jaslene Gonzalez led a pack of bellos modelos last week during the taping of MTV Tr3s' Fashionista, proving why she was indeed voted America's Next Top Model. Her walk was so serious that her shoe went flying at one point. Talk about fierce!
We know fashion trends can be frustrating for Latinas. You can't always have your tres leches cake and eat it too. We caught up with Jaslene backstage -while ordering one of her many meals- to get some style tips for the average Latina that might not be blessed with the boricua's uber-fast metabolism!
When it comes to style, Latinas have to embrace their curves! I know that sounds funny coming from me, cause I am so flaca but I love our curves. Style comes from being comfortable in your own skin, so you have to embrace who you are and work with what you have. Stop trying to look like someone else! There is no need for that. When you accept yourself and embrace your unique qualities then beauty radiates from within.
Aww que cute! She sounds like an after school special.

What a weekend! Our heads are still spinning from MTV Tr3s Fashionista, an upcoming style special that taped last Friday for a premiere on August 16th at 2PM EST. NYC was the place to be el viernes pasado -- you couldn't move an inch without bumping into a hot model (ANTM winner Jaslene chowing down on not only tacos, but mcdonalds AND espaguetis), hot Latin artist (Pitbull checking out VJ Karli's pedicure job) or host (LBoogs and Natalie Martinez shaking sus caderas in a cha-cha face-off between takes).
Among racks of ropa both couture and casual we ran into R&B singer Lloyd, whose performance of "Girls Around the World" featuring Pitbull was a highlight of the event. Before we could squeeze in any preguntas, we caught Mr. 305 schooling Lloyd on rolling his "rs." Adorned in Dolce & Gabanna ATL native Lloyd told us that the key to having style is really about one thing:
Style is just all in the swagger. It's not about the name brands, it's not about the expense of the clothing, it's just about the way you wear it. My own style consists of just configuring my outfit in wacky ways.
Sounds good to us. Lloyd also shared that he has a fetish for cute feet and doesn't wear a shirt much in the summer -- exposing his 30+ tattoos (no complaints here). At present the single crooner is promoting his album Lessons on Love and searching all around the world for the right gal.
MTV Tr3s Fashionista showed off the flyest fashion trends, from urban to sophisticated chic, on the flyest models, including featured catwalkers Jaslene Gonzalez and Danity Kane diva Aubrey O' Day. Male and female models strutted their stuff to live performances by Nina Sky, Kinky, RKM & Ken Y, Lloyd and Pitbull. MC-ing the event were Sucker Free Latino's L.Boogs and Natalie Martinez, of Fashion House and JT music video stardom.

We cannot get enough of the cha-cha diva Jaslene Gonzalez around la oficina. Lucky for us she's been making her rounds on the scene recently. Yesterday the Boricua bombshell attended VitaminWater’s “Best in Baseball and Music” party, hosted by The Mets' David Wright and The Red Sox's David “Big Papi” Ortiz. The blowout, which was held at the fab Hudson Terrace in New York, got baseball aficionados revved up for the big MLB All-Star Game today. VitaminWater schooled us on how to throw una fiesta exitosa -- take some fine models, pepper in algunos atletas guapos and add party-pumpin' beats from the likes of DJ Samantha Ronson and 50 Cent.

Quieres ver a Daddy Yankee chillin’ with supermodel Jaslene Gonzalez? Well, that’s what they were doing last Saturday when Harvard awarded los dos boricuas with their very own prestigious awards from the university for their contributions to the Latino community. Jaslene received the Latino Rising Star Award for her diverse beauty in the competitive modeling industry and El Daddy received the Latino of the Year Award for his charity, Corazón Guerrero, to keep Latino youths off the streets.
