Mario Lopez is no rookie at firing up chismes. His player rep has been all over the tabloids since allegedly cheating on his Dancing With The Stars ex-novia Karina Smirnoff. Now People magazine’s “Hottest Bachelor” of 2008 is switching up his game and making moves as the sole host of NBC’s hit entertainment show Extra!. The fly chicano is kicking off the show’s 15th season and replacing former hosts Dayna Devon and Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray fame.

This past Tuesday the Saved by the Bell hottie was spotted in Times Square, NYC in a Wienermobile to promote his Mario López Salchichas in conjunction with Oscar Mayer. Now you can get a mouthful of Mario on any NYC esquina. Yes, we had to go there. You can’t ignore how funny this is — almost as funny as when we learned Slater’s real name was Albert in SBTB.

Mario Lopez revealed he’s been offered to pose nude for Playgirl magazine but “politely declined” because it’s not something he would do at the moment. Great, there goes our intimate nighttime fun. Is Mario Lopez gettin played dirty? His mujer and Dancing With The Stars pro Karina Smirnoff has been seen getting close with her current DWTS partner, R&B singer Mario! Guess the girl has a thing for guys named Mario. But Karina is denying all accusations saying her “hook up” with singer Mario is a joke. The New York Post broke the story on Karina and Mario’s secret make out sessions at the Four Seasons in L.A.

“They were making out by the valet with their hands all over each other, and he was whispering in her ear,” said our source. “It was around midnight, so there weren’t many people around.”

Well, we hope Karina is telling the truth or else she’s gonna have some serious explaining to do if she’s really cheating on our hunky Latino! [NYP]
