Querían más de Nelly Furtado? Well your wish is our command! Su nuevo video for her new single "Más" will premiere on MTV Tr3s este lunes, pero in the meantime, we've got some behind-the-scenes footage of the video to share!
If you thought her last video was dramatic, you haven't seen anything yet! "Más" gets right down to the dirt, and according to Nelly, it's also one of the best pop songs on the album. "Más" is about love and wanting more out of a relationship. In the video Nelly finds out that her guy is cheating on her, does she catch him con la otra? You'll have to watch to find out!

We said sueñan, not duermen... malpensados!
It looks like Canadian pop star Nelly Furtado y el ícono de la música ranchera, Alejandro Fernandez, hooked up in Miami to record one of the tracks for Nelly's first full-length Spanish album Mi Plan. "Sueños" is the song that brought them together to fuse their musical talent for one of several collaborations on Nelly's latest, release this past September. Other great collabs include Juan Luis Guerra, Julieta Venegas, y hasta La Mala Rodríguez.
Currently, Alejandro can be found in Guadalajara prepping for his own album release, Dos Mundos, which promises to show fans both sides of his world, the regional Mexican and his cross over into pop music. Le deseamos mucha suerte a Alejandro!

We sat down with the "Manos Al Aire" cantante to get find out more about the inspirations behind su nuevo album en español, Mi Plan. When we asked which Latin artist she was most inspired by, we were only a little surprised to discover it was Julieta Venegas. After all, la cantante de "Eres Para Mí" will be featured in one of Nelly's upcoming singles, and, as it turns out, has collaborated en unas cuantas canciones más del album.
Have we mentioned that we can't wait to hear that collaboration?
Bueno, and what else did Nelly learn during the recording of the upcoming album? Nelly Furtado is calling the process of creating her upcoming all-Spanish album, Mi Plan, a "liberating" experience. Por qué? La cantante canadiense admits that by singing en español she is eliminating the use of a persona (such as the sexy club gal in "Maneater") and singing directamente desde su corazón. Plus, we guess maneaters and promiscuous girls don't age very well... According to Nelly, singing Spanish pop songs is the "next step" in being able to have an international career that will allow her to still be rockin' it onstage at 80 years old.
Nelly also admits that after her 2006 release Loose, the trilingual cantante was starting to get bored of writing English pop songs -- enter la lengua hispana to save the day, as a fountain river ocean of inspiration came flooding in. Bueno, we already knew that nuestro idioma is a source of inspiration for many, especially when it comes to talking about el amor! We're definitely excited about Nelly exploring her "Latin soul," and eagerly looking forward to her upcoming collaborations con artistas latinos como Julieta Venegas y La Mala Rodríguez!

Nelly Furtado is waving a white flag of surrender en su nuevo video en español, "Manos Al Aire."
El nuevo video, which was filmed in Toronto, Canada, last month, features a militaristic Nelly who starts out in a packed army jeep, but gradually lets down her guard and defenses (losing articles of clothing as she goes) and ultimately surrenders to el amor verdadero. La bella cantante se quita casi toda la ropa, throws her arms up in peace, and ends up entirely vulnerable en los brasos de su enamorado.
"Manos Al Aire" es el primer video from Nelly's upcoming all-spanish album, Mi Plan, but it does features English subtitles to keep her anglo fanbase contentos. Smart move, Nelly!
