La Chica Dorada is celebrating El Año Nuevo by launching her new fragrance properly titled, “Oro.”

Adding to a distinctive array of celebrity scents, Paulina Rubio plans on launching the perfume in March 2009. Wondering what the golden new product smells like? A single spritz will encapsulate floral freshness, citrus cleanliness, and the rich aroma of café beans. La rubia may think she has this dulce venture in the bag, but will her hybrid mix cut it in the $22 billion celebrity perfume industry?

Not even Pauli can answer that one, which is why she is starting her marketing campaign early:

Este perfume es para mujeres como yo que creen en sí mismas, que son fuertes, divertidas e impredecibles, además de ser tiernas y estar llenas de amor.

Paulina Rubio has been in the game for nearly two decades, and besides being known as la reina del escándalo, La Chica Dorada has earned her rightful dues as a comeback queen.

The former Timbiriche member has had sometime out of the spotlight after getting mandated $500,000 for allegedly beating up a photographer at the Miami International Airport, and supposedly screaming drunken profanities while performing in Spain back in May. She is no stranger to ridicule, but Paulina is proving that all of the drama works in her favor for her upcoming album, “MUY VARIADO.”

Outside of being a rebel, Paulina also revealed that she enjoys talking about herself in the third person. Here is what the Mexicana had to say about her nuevo disco:

Huy es muy variado, ese un disco de Paulina. Paulina es, si hay alguien polifacético es ella, así que, va haber un poco de cada cosa, pero todo con su personalidad que es muy fuerte.

Perhaps this was Paulina’s alter ego speaking. We wouldn’t be surprised if she develops a stage name for her like Beyonce’s “Sasha Fierce.” All we can say is, you are a very special lady Paulina. [MTV Tr3s Radio Noticias]

Remember Paulina Rubio? She may have been in the dark for a while, but La Chica Dorada just found her shine by putting RBD on blast during her appearance on the Spanish-speaking show “Ya veremos.”

The controversial diva dissed Anahí for initiating the infamous RBD march taking place Aug. 23rd. Word is that she laughed uncontrollably about all the hype and sarcastically encouraged fans to join the worldwide protest.

We feel for la rubia. She probably misses her old-school Timbiriche days, but that is no excuse to hate on the RBD craze. Si o no? [Lamusica.com]

Besides running her mouth, Pauli was recently captured chilling at la playa with her hubby Nicolas Vallejo Najera in Ibiza, Spain.

Word en la calle has it that Paulina Rubio is cheating on her Spanish hubby, Nicolas Colate. Wait a minute? Back up just a bit here. Performing after having a few tequila shots es una mala idea, especially if you’re Paulina Rubio. La chica dorada was a bit “off” during her concert in Spain announcing how proud she was of being Mrs. Nicolas Vallejo Colate, her husband who is widely known for his business in public relations. Um, was Paulina expecting to hear cheers from the crowd cause if so then she set herself up for a big disappointment. The Spanish audience didn’t take well with her boasting and started yelling “borracha” and “perdida” at the singer who then said some more far out stuff.

“I am drunk eh, drunk drunk…yes…I am drunk, but so are you. Just like you, you, you and you! I don’t care! Give me another tequila.”

Afterwards, she then told the crowd that they should all – including her – go to sleep. Er, okay that’s a bit weird. Does it sound like Pau was drunk at the show or was she just joking around? [Lossip]
