Terra reported on Tuesday that Paquita La Del Barrio regrets sharing her views on gay parents and is expected in the coming hours to give a press conference in a bar in Mexico City that serves the local gay community.

This should somewhat appease GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation), who demanded an apology after Paquita La Del Barrio made homophobic comments on Escandalo TV.

When asked about a new law that allows couples in Mexico City to wed and to adopt children, La del Barrio told a reporter that she feels it would be better for a child to starve to death than to be adopted by gay parents.

The 62-year-old singer, who has a big Los Angeles fan base, told Escandalo TV that, "It's not in my taste that a poor creature should be adopted by them." She explained it's better if the child dies instead of that "lifestyle."

After Latin Gossip reported on this, outraged readers left comments ranging from "DANG! That was freaking harsh" to "there are many gay parents out there are doing a great job at raising children."

Many in the media have have denounced La del Barrio’s comments as well. The co-hosts of the nationally aired Telemundo morning show “¡Levántate!” requested a retraction and apology. One of the commentators criticized her insensitivity, saying “every year, in many countries, there are children who die of starvation.” He went on to say, “What does [sexuality] have to do with the longing or desire to be a father or a mother?”

NBC reported that Bienestar, a Los Angeles Latino community service and advocacy organization, is leading the charge against the vocalist. The group is demanding that homophobic attacks made by the popular singer stop.

Paquita La Del Barrio recently collaborated with Ricardo Arjona on the 5to Piso track "Ni Tú Ni Yo."

Tr3s Comunidad, what do you think about La del Barrio’s comment? Do you think she should apologize or do you agree with her? Let us know in the comments!

Some sexy Dominicanas were in attendance at the Latina Magazine launch party last week, in which Arlenis Sosa's March cover was revealed.

Arlenis, una bella Dominicana who's been making waves in the modeling world since being discovered in Santo Domingo in 2008, is currently the spokesmodel for Lancôme.  The makeup company hosted the event, which was also attended by Kat DeLuna, MTV's own Julissa Bermudez, and Latina Mag editor, Mimi Valdes.  Que mujeres tan hermosas, verdad?

We're loving Kat's stylish vestido and intense black eyeliner.  She looks smoking!

We LOVE seeing hot Latina women succeeding en el mundo de la moda!

El ex-cantante de RBD, Christian Chavez, told El Gordo y La Flaca esta semana that if he had to pick un artista with whom to go out with, it would be Juanes.  We certainly can't say we blame him!

However, Christian was quick to change his tune today, after Juanes dismissed the crush to the press saying "Gracias, lo respeto, pero no son mis intereses."

Burn! Ouch!

Pero no hay problema -- Christian issued an apology of sorts to el cantante Colombiano when he returned to the scene of the crime and stated on el show del Gordo y La Flaca:

"No, qué pena, no le estoy tirando el calzón, no quiero con Juanes. El Gordo me preguntó y yo respondí 'Juanes' por la admiración que siento por él, pero para nada en otro sentido, imaginen, qué va a pensar su esposa, qué pena."

Good save, Christian!  So you "like" Juanes, but you don't like, "LIKE" Juanes.  We get it...  [People En Español]

Selena Gomez is currently working on a slightly harder follow-up to her 2009 debut album, Kiss & Tell. The album, which she released with her band The Scene, was a pop record and Gomez recently said she wants to go a bit funkier and a bit edgier with her sophomore effort. (MTVNews)

Want to hear the sounds of women going absolutely locas?  Bueno, well just in case, here you go...

People En Español surprised us esta mañana by posting these very... um, tasty photos of nuestro favorito bombón de telenovelas, William Levy.  Is it hot in here, or it just the intensity of William Levy's sombrero gaze?  According to People En Español, these shots were outtakes from a steamy underwear ad from two years ago, but are just being released now.  Gracias, underwear photographer gods!

Jennifer Lopez has spent most of her singing career at Sony Music Epic Records, but after today, that relationship ended like most of her marriages-cold turkey!  Some say Lopez fulfilled her Sony contract with her last two singles, while others are speculating that Sony dropped her.

Her manager Benny Medina confirmed the split this morning.

"Jennifer had a wonderful relationship with the Sony Music group, and they have shared many successes together, but the time was right to make a change that best serves the direction her career as an actress and recording artist. She is grateful and appreciative to everyone Sony for all that they accomplished together."

Lopez insiders claim the decision was "a mutual one" between the star and label’s current CEO Rob Stringer (younger brother to Sony parent company CEO Howard Stringer). The rumor is the two had a meeting at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles during Grammy week, and, after a "heart-to-heart" conversation, the star and executive decided to end the long relationship. “It was all very amicable. They hugged at the end of the meeting,” claims one. Meanwhile, Sony will still be releasing her "Greatest Hits" album in the fall.

There also is disagreement on how finished her upcoming album was before it was canceled. Internet reports say her 7th studio album, titled "Love?", was supposed to come out in April. A song from it titled "Fresh Out The Oven" surfaced online in October 2009 as a buzz single and reached #1 on the U.S. Hot Dance Club Songs chart. But the official lead single, "Louboutins", had its radio debut on November 23 following the song's premiere and performance at the 2009 American Music Awards and then peaked at #31 on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart.Lopez insiders claim the album was "by no means done" and everyone was "only a few songs into it" and "unlike movie dates, street dates rarely hold in the music biz". Others say the album isn't being released because "Louboutins" bombed, as did her performance at the American Music Awards.

Supposedly, Lopez hasn't wasted any time getting signed elsewhere: it’s rumored she is already in talks with Island Def Jam’s bigwig L.A. Reid to come to his label.

Could Jennifer stage a comeback? Or should she call it quits?

No es sorpresa that he picked su boda as the most romantic moment of his life (aww!), pero we were a little excited to hear about his new fragrance for women.  El reggaetonero has decided to market a scent para todas las mujeres, called DY Diamante, following the success of his cologne last year.  El perfume (nos preguntamos a que huele?!) will be released at the same time as his new album, 'Mundial.'  Hmm... double Valentine's Day present?

Chances are you've heard the super hot remix to Don Omar's 'Hasta Abajo' as it's blowing up la radio.  Pero si aún no lo has escuchado, check it out here!

Por cierto, that's Daddy Yankee who joined in with the King of Kings on the remix to 'Hasta Abajo' and we're happy the duo have put aside their beef to collaborate on this track. This is the first time 'El Rey' and 'El Jefe' have worked together since 'Royal Rumble' on Los Benjamins. Could more collaborations be coming from Daddy and Don? We know fans are excited but what would los lideres, Wisin y Yandel, have to say about this?  Could there be a new Reggaeton superstar team looking to claim Wisin y Yandel's throne?

Que creen ustedes?!  Weigh in below!
