Ricky Martin has a heart of gold.  Whoever said his career is no longer relevant clearly doesn't realize the extent of his reach.  The latest accomplishment under Ricky's belt?

El cantante has recently launched a PSA on his website to promote the Ricky Martin Foundation and their efforts to help victims of el terremoto de Chile y Haiti.  Joining Ricky on this star-studded PSA are fellow artistas Gustavo Cerati (de Soda Stereo), Alejandro Sanz, Paulina Rubio, Gloria Estefan, Ruben Blades, Tego Calderon, Miguel Bose, Cristian de la Fuente, Juanes, Juan Luis Guerra, Calle 13, Enrique Iglesias, Amaury Nolasco, Ednita Nazario, Pitbull, Julieta Venegas y más!

Watch the full PSA below, and make sure to check out Ricky Martin's website for more info and the Ricky Martin Foundation site to make a donation.

Felicitaciones a Tommy Torres!  El cantautor boricua was named "Compositor del Año" by the ASCAP (that would be The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, for those who don't know) for penning some of 2009's hottest songs.

Not only is he responsible for writing his own hit ballad "Imparable," which featured hermanos Jesse y Joy, pero tambien the duet between Alejandro Sanz and Alicia Keys, "Looking for Paradise."

Keep writing those hits, Tommy!

So we gave you a couple of weeks to get used to this "Happy New Year" and "Happy 2010" stuff... but now it's really starting to sink in that a new decade is upon us.  Es el fin de los 00s.  And to help us celebrate this momentous occasion, we've been airing some of lo mejor de lo mejor de los 00s toda esta semana on MTV Tr3s.  Catch the next Mejor De Los 00s countdown esta noche at 7pm EST, where we find out who las mejores mamasotas de la decada were!

Last night, during the first of our Mejor De Los 00s countdown, we took a look at the top musical collaborations of the decade.  Here are algunos de nuestros favoritos (in no particular order) -- vote on which of these is YOUR favorite and scroll down for more on cada uno! Watch the best collaborations de los 00s online here.

The #1 collabo of the decade?  Hands down, Shakira and Alejandro Sanz "La Tortura." Por que?  Well... have you seen Shakira in this video??  Can you say ultra mega caliente?!  This track was so hot when it appeared in 2005, that it was the first Spanish song performed at the MTV Video Music Awards, where it was also nominated.  Shaki went on to win a Grammy for the album, Fijación Oral Vol. 1, on which she collaborated con otros artistas como Wyclef Jean y Carlos Santana... pero we think this video is pretty much as hot as it gets!  Estás de acuerdo?

Also making a huge impact on the Latin music front en los 00s was Daddy Yankee f/Fergie "Impacto (Remix)." We triple dog dare you to remember una sola fiesta en el 2007 that did not include this poppin' track.  Esta canción fue hecha para bailar, and watching Miss Fergalicious get down with Daddy Yankee es cosa seria!  They don't call him The Big Boss for nothing... we like the way you do it!

Jennifer Lopez f/Marc Anthony "No Me Ames." Okay, okay, so technically this one came out in 1999.  But it won a Latin Billboard and was nominated for two Latin Grammys in 2000, so it counts, verdad?  Plus, este video fue la primera vez that we saw JLo and Marc (a Latin music powerhouse couple if we ever saw one!) así de juntitos.  Just think... would the sparks have flown four years later if it hadn't been for this video?  History in the making, amigos!

Beyoncé and Shakira "Beautiful Liar." So, just how big was Shakira en los 00s?  Big enough that we're including her twice.  But, can you really blame us?  This video con Beyoncé was a huge hit in 2007, if only because it united dos de las mujeres más bellas en la música pop.  And the video also won an MTV Music Video Award for Most Earth-Shattering Collaboration, so that oughtta tell you something!

Wisin y Yandel f/50 Cent "Mujeres in the Club." Did you really think we'd leave this one out?  No solo es que Wisin y Yandel revolucionaron el genero de reggaeton durante la decada, but these guys also collaborated with one of the biggest names in hip-hop.  El resultado?  A super hot club hit to round out the decade!  Disfrútalo!

Stay tuned to MTV Tr3s for more Mejor De Los 00s countdowns toda esta semana at 7pm EST!

La bella y controversial cantante Katy Perry is experimenting con algo nuevo otra vez.  She won't be kissing girls or jumping into a quinceañera cake this time, but she will be showing us a different side of herself during her upcoming 'MTV Unplugged' performance!

La cantante talks about how 'MTV Unplugged' allows artists to be more themselves.  She will be peforming a stripped down, jazzy version of her mega-hit "I Kissed A Girl."  La Perry also mentioned how her larger-than-life personality is reflected en su forma de vestir.  Claro, Katy, we'd noticed that!

Katy Perry will be joining the ranks of such artists as Julieta Venegas, Nirvana, Jay-Z, Alejandro Sanz y más, who've all been a part of the legendary serie de música.  The show will be premiering soon on MTV Tr3s, so keep it locked for more info!

If you missed Los Premios MTV 2009 last night on MTV Tr3s and you're kicking yourself for it today, we really can't say we blame you... Between all the amazing multi-city performances from artists like Shakira, Alejandro Sanz, Cobra Starship with Paulina Rubio, and Fall Out Boy, to name a few, it's really hard to pinpoint which one thrilled us the most. Even host Nelly Furtado got down and kicked off the night with her own performance. And say what you may about her co-host, Residente Calle 13, no se puede negar que el hombre es honesto!

The night was filled with all kinds of celebs, from runway supermodels like Alessandra Ambrosio, young pop heartthrobs like Pee Wee, living legends like Morrissey, to teen icons like Ashley Tisdale. We even got word of the possible spark of a romance between Wilmer Valderrama and Audrina Patridge (eso dicen our backstage spies, pero ya veremos). MTV Tr3s filled two of the Los Premios categories by awarding Aventura with Best MTV Tr3s Artist, and Da'Zoo as Best New MTV Tr3s Artist. But the biggest ganadores of the night were undoubtedly Wisin y Yandel, Panda, and the fashionably intriguing Lady Gaga, who all took home multiple "lenguas."

Wisin y Yandel won awards for "Vidéo del Año" and "Artista del Año"

Panda took home trés Premios for "Mejor Grupo o Dúo," "Mejor Artista Alternativo," and "Mejor Artista Norte"

Lady Gaga was awarded two "tongues" for "Mejor Artista Nuevo Internacional" and "Canción del Año"

Check out more photos of Los Premios MTV 2009 Onstage Highlights aquí, and click after the jump to see all of the night's big winners. You can tune in to MTV Tr3s on Saturday 10/17 at 2pm and 8pm to watch all the Los Premios mayhem go down again!
