The epic collaboration between todos los mejores artistas del mundo de la música Latina has hit the airwaves.  It's a veritable who's who of Latin music, and all for a great cause -- helping raise funds for Haiti, following January's devastating earthquake.

Who can you spot in the video?  We're kinda digging on the remix portion where Pitbull and Daddy Yankee come in over the electric guitar... and we're dying to know, who is that mystery guitarrista?

Watch the video below, and weigh in -- que te parece la versión en Español?  Cual es tu parte favorita? Who else would you have liked to see in the video?

We're excited about the premiere of 'Somos El Mundo' (i.e. 'We Are The World' en Español) esta noche!  The music video, produced by Emilio Estefan, Quincy Jones and Univision, features an all-star roster of performers, including newly confirmed Ricky Martin, Shakira, Daddy Yankee, Luis Miguel, Gloria Trevi, and Belinda.  Previously announced talent include Aventura, Pitbull, Chayanne, Juanes, Luis Fonsi, Thalia, Paulina Rubio, Tito "El Bambino," Juan Luis Guerra, Taboo of Black Eyed Peas, Jenni Rivera, Gloria Estefan, Alacranes Musical, Pee Wee, y muchos, muchos más!  Can you say Latin Music dream come true?!

The video was produced as a companion to the new (English-version) 'We Are The World' video that was created to support Haiti following the massive earthquake that shook the nation.  Y ahora, con el terremoto en Chile este fin de semana, a Spanish version of the song couldn't be more fitting.  Following the 10pm premiere of the video, you can find more info on the epic collaboration at www.somoselmundo.org, so make sure to check that out after 10pm!  Info on the premiere can be found at Univision.com.

Tell us -- will you watch the video?  Y estás tan emocionado como nosotros? [PR NewsWire]

One of the greatest nights in Latin music came alive with a spectacular three-stage opening performance featuring Chayanne, Thalía and Alejandro Fernández who sang some of their most recent hits as well as long time favorites.

Reggaeton king Daddy Yankee surprised everyone with one of the biggest productions of the night set against a virtual, futuristic backdrop that included a special lightning effect for the live, blowout premiere of his latest single “Descontrol.”

While bachata group Aventura mesmerized the audience as they flew through the arena on top of a bridge for their medley performance of “Su Veneno” and the live premiere of “Dile al Amor.”

Pop diva Paulina Rubio performed an exclusive remix of her most recent hit “Ni Rosas Ni Juguetes,” which was broadcast with a special black and white effect, only seen by viewers at home, resembling an old wild-west movie.

Additional performances included:  Héctor “El Torito” Acosta's “Sin Perdón” with Colombian duo Jorge Celedón and Jimmy Zambrano,  Paquita la Del Barrio sang “Rata de Dos Patas”;  Nelly Furtado’s crossover performance of “Manos al Aire,” pop artist Pee Wee’s performance of a special mix of his hit “Quédate”; Jenni Rivera’s performance of “Ya Lo Sé"; the live debut of Tito “El Bambino’s” new single “Te Pido Perdón”; Alejandro Fernández and Chayanne performed their respective hits “Se Me Va La Voz” and “Me Enamoré de Ti”; and a fantastic closing number by Puerto Rican merengue group Grupo Manía which brought the audience to its feet.

Just in time for Valentine's Day, Daddy Yankee is spilling on el momento más romántico de su vida.

No es sorpresa that he picked su boda as the most romantic moment of his life (aww!), pero we were a little excited to hear about his new fragrance for women.  El reggaetonero has decided to market a scent para todas las mujeres, called DY Diamante, following the success of his cologne last year.  El perfume (nos preguntamos a que huele?!) will be released at the same time as his new album, 'Mundial.'  Hmm... double Valentine's Day present?

Chances are you've heard the super hot remix to Don Omar's 'Hasta Abajo' as it's blowing up la radio.  Pero si aún no lo has escuchado, check it out here!

Por cierto, that's Daddy Yankee who joined in with the King of Kings on the remix to 'Hasta Abajo' and we're happy the duo have put aside their beef to collaborate on this track. This is the first time 'El Rey' and 'El Jefe' have worked together since 'Royal Rumble' on Los Benjamins. Could more collaborations be coming from Daddy and Don? We know fans are excited but what would los lideres, Wisin y Yandel, have to say about this?  Could there be a new Reggaeton superstar team looking to claim Wisin y Yandel's throne?

Que creen ustedes?!  Weigh in below!

So we gave you a couple of weeks to get used to this "Happy New Year" and "Happy 2010" stuff... but now it's really starting to sink in that a new decade is upon us.  Es el fin de los 00s.  And to help us celebrate this momentous occasion, we've been airing some of lo mejor de lo mejor de los 00s toda esta semana on MTV Tr3s.  Catch the next Mejor De Los 00s countdown esta noche at 7pm EST, where we find out who las mejores mamasotas de la decada were!

Last night, during the first of our Mejor De Los 00s countdown, we took a look at the top musical collaborations of the decade.  Here are algunos de nuestros favoritos (in no particular order) -- vote on which of these is YOUR favorite and scroll down for more on cada uno! Watch the best collaborations de los 00s online here.

The #1 collabo of the decade?  Hands down, Shakira and Alejandro Sanz "La Tortura." Por que?  Well... have you seen Shakira in this video??  Can you say ultra mega caliente?!  This track was so hot when it appeared in 2005, that it was the first Spanish song performed at the MTV Video Music Awards, where it was also nominated.  Shaki went on to win a Grammy for the album, Fijación Oral Vol. 1, on which she collaborated con otros artistas como Wyclef Jean y Carlos Santana... pero we think this video is pretty much as hot as it gets!  Estás de acuerdo?

Also making a huge impact on the Latin music front en los 00s was Daddy Yankee f/Fergie "Impacto (Remix)." We triple dog dare you to remember una sola fiesta en el 2007 that did not include this poppin' track.  Esta canción fue hecha para bailar, and watching Miss Fergalicious get down with Daddy Yankee es cosa seria!  They don't call him The Big Boss for nothing... we like the way you do it!

Jennifer Lopez f/Marc Anthony "No Me Ames." Okay, okay, so technically this one came out in 1999.  But it won a Latin Billboard and was nominated for two Latin Grammys in 2000, so it counts, verdad?  Plus, este video fue la primera vez that we saw JLo and Marc (a Latin music powerhouse couple if we ever saw one!) así de juntitos.  Just think... would the sparks have flown four years later if it hadn't been for this video?  History in the making, amigos!

Beyoncé and Shakira "Beautiful Liar." So, just how big was Shakira en los 00s?  Big enough that we're including her twice.  But, can you really blame us?  This video con Beyoncé was a huge hit in 2007, if only because it united dos de las mujeres más bellas en la música pop.  And the video also won an MTV Music Video Award for Most Earth-Shattering Collaboration, so that oughtta tell you something!

Wisin y Yandel f/50 Cent "Mujeres in the Club." Did you really think we'd leave this one out?  No solo es que Wisin y Yandel revolucionaron el genero de reggaeton durante la decada, but these guys also collaborated with one of the biggest names in hip-hop.  El resultado?  A super hot club hit to round out the decade!  Disfrútalo!

Stay tuned to MTV Tr3s for more Mejor De Los 00s countdowns toda esta semana at 7pm EST!

As 2009 comes to a close, todos estamos pensando el lo que ha sucedido este año: Barack Obama becoming the first African-American President of the U.S., Michael Jackson's untimely death, Justice Sonia Sotomayor becoming la primera latina in the Supreme Court, swine flu, y mucho más.

Pero el fin del 2009 also marks el fin de la decada.  Can you believe los '00s are over?  In come the teens!  So to commemorate this occasion, cuentanos: who or what defines los '00s to you?

Teen Culture

Once upon a time in 2000, the airwaves were invaded by the likes of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, 'NSync and The Backstreet Boys.  While Britney's all grown up and stealing the spotlight in other ways these days, the idolization of teen stars carried on throughout la decada.

Los 00s are also responsible for American Idol with such new young stars arising like Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, David Archuleta and most recently Adam Lambert.  And other teen music phenoms like the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez y Demi Lovato, and let's not forget Rihanna and Chris Brown, no se quedan atrás.  And really, would the whole Twilight phenomenon really exist without teen fever for RPatz, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart?  Who's your favorite teen icon from los 00s?

Latin Explosion!

Even more relevant para todos nosotros, was the "Latin Explosion" of los 00s.  Starting with the successful crossover careers of the likes of Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias y Shakira, los 00s brought Latinos to the forefront when it comes to la música popular americana.  Whether hearing Daddy Yankee in a soda commercial or Wisin y Yandel in a video game (and seeing both nominated for MTV Video Music Awards), there is no doubt that Latinos seriously broke through into mainstream pop culture during the 2000s.

With such collabos hitting the video and radio airwaves como Beyoncé y ShakiraWisin y Yandel con 50 Cent, Pitbull and Lloyd, Akon and Dulce María, y muchos más.  On the silver screen, actors like Salma Hayek, Benicio del Toro, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz, Eva Mendez, John Leguizamo and even Jennifer Lopez and Jessica Alba made waves para los Latinos.  Similarly on la tele, entertainers like George Lopez, Mario Lopez, Eva Longoria Parker, Wilmer Valderrama, America Ferrera and Ana Ortiz made us all un poquito más orgullosos de ser Latinos!

Cuéntanos, what defines los 00s for you?  Stay tuned to MTV Tr3s in January to catch nuestros especiales on Lo Mejor De Los 00's, y mientras tanto...

We wish you all un feliz y prospero año nuevo!  Que disfruten!

The results are in for los Premios People En Español.  Ganadores in the various categories included Best Telenovela: 'Mañana es Para Siempre' y como Mejor Actriz, Edith González de 'Doña Bárbara' y Fernando Colunga como Mejor Actor en 'Mañana es Para Siempre.'  Mejor Cantante Pop went to Luis Fonsi, who also won awards for Best Album and Song of the Year.  Nailing Mejor Artista Tropical were bachateros Aventura, while Best Urban Artist went to Daddy Yankee.

We had our eyes peeled on the red carpet though, to see who had el mejor look de la noche.  Take a look at our faves below!

Lili Estefan looked good enough to eat (we think Raúl de Molina agreed!), as she showed off her famosas piernas con un vestido corto.

Miguel Varoni y Catherine Siachoque get definite props for being la pareja con más estilo de la noche.  Check out her super sexy heels!

We're digging the asymmetrical necklines on los vestidos de Dominican beauty Amelia Vega, news maven  Maria Elena Salinas and the age-defying Charytin.

Our eyes were drawn to these ladies who looked listas para las fiestas de navidad in their festive vestidos.  Canela Ferro parece un regalito with the oversized bow detail on her dress, 'Primer Impacto' host Bárbara Bermudo made un impacto in her dazzling silver dress, y actriz Colombiana Maritza Rodriguez rocked a classy true blue vestido with black lace detalles.
