Daddy Yankee’s “Talento De Barrio II” Starring Don Omar?!

After a series of auditions, Daddy Yankee has found his leading man for the “Talento De Barrio” sequel…

Don Omar has been offered the script to the barrio blockbuster! Besides flexing his hustling skills on-screen, the ”Salio El Sol” reggaetonero plans on shining for his acting debut in “Fast And The Furious” speeding into theaters in June 2009. The offer hasn’t been inked on paper yet, but if everything runs according to plan, filming for the película is set to begin in February.

Daddy Yankee explains that he may be an amateur in the movie business, but he still gives it 100%:

Obviamente soy un principiante en ese ámbito. Tengo mucho que aprender; tengo que seguir desarrollando, lo reconozco públicamente, pero como te dije me encantan los retos y voy a seguir hacia adelante.

Oye, the beef really is dead between these two! Can you imagine “El Jefe” directing “El Rey” on-set? Sounds like dangerous territory if you ask us…[MTV Tr3s Radio Noticias]

Besides promoting his mainstream acting debut in the action flick, “The Fast and the Furious” releasing in June 2009, the Boricua reggaetonero flashed details about wanting to collaborate with heavy weights, Daddy Yankee and Wisin y Yandel for his next album.

A brave journalist eventually approached Don Omar about ‘following’ in Daddy Yankee’s footsteps, which caused a tactical ‘hell no’ from “El Rey de Reyes.” Read more…

Daddy Yankee Finally Responds To McCain’s Loss!

Daddy Yankee is resurrecting the political drama! The reggaetonero made sure to keep his mouth shut after feeling his pueblo’s backlash in regards to the McCain endorsement, but the Boricua is finally responding to his homeboy’s loss…

El Cangri made sure to clear the air at the launch event of his men’s fragrance DY in New York City last week. While signing autographs and chilling-out with fans, the “Impacto” singer graciously revealed his thoughts on President Barack Obama’s win to Latina magazine.

The Republican supporter stated:

I respect the people’s decision. That’s the good thing about living in a country where democracy exists. Now it is the job of all of us to work as a team and come together like brothers for the good of this nation.

Nice. His publicist must have coached him on this one! Seems like Mr. Yankee simply wants todos to forget about his political aspirations and unite peacefully to buy his rico suave smelling cologne. Has he earned your billetes? [Latina]

Pitbull Has Beef With Daddy Yankee

Daddy Yankee’s McCain endorsement has become our modern day pandora’s box! It has unleashed political stabs from just about everyone in el barrio, and the wounds aren’t over yet. Pitbull is also taking a raw stab at El Cangri, and we promise that this one will leave some scars…

Unlike Fat Joe, “The Anthem” MC isn’t about endorsing Obama or rocking the Presidential candidate’s kicks. Pitbull’s political thoughts remain rooted on the other side of el malecón, which has been head deep in Castro’s dictatorship for over 45 years.

In regards to Cuba Pitbull states:

I truly feel that Castro is dead. I feel like he’s been dead for 2 or 3 years now. I think he handed off power to Raul. Once that becomes public and it’s a 150% fact I think that’s when you will see change in Cuba or at least I’m hoping.

However, his “NO CASTRO” chants scream just as loudly as his hate for Republicans…and Daddy Yankee.

The Cubano continues:

That was bull****. That was a publicity stunt gone wrong. How can you sit there and make a debate about John McCain and Sarah Palin? There’s no way shape or form for him to jump behind John McCain. Whoever on your team told you to do this s*** really fucked you up right now. Fat Joe called him out on it also. I don’t think he’s a bad guy. I just think it’s the wrong decision. I don’t know how you can sit up there and talk about John McCain’s immigration laws when you come from an island that’s U.S. territory. [Laughs]

Pitbull chewed Daddy Yankee up and spat him back out! What do you think of the leftover pieces mi gente? [Six Shot]

Daddy Yankee’s Cologne Smells Umm…Interesting

Daddy Yankee is finally taking his mind off of politics by smelling…the basil?

El Cangri will be expanding the DY brand by launching his own cologne next month. The real reason why the reggaetonero decided to endorse McCain remains a mystery, but at least we know exactly what ‘fragrant’ ingredients are in his new cologne. Each $39 (small bottle) and $49 (big bottle) will embody distinct aromas of apple peel, ginger, cedar leaves, sage, basil, amber, and suede.

Umm…interesting. Will it come with a side of camping gear and a fruit basket? [Hollyscoop]

Daddy Yankee Haters Are Burnin’ Up In Puerto Rico!

We previously reported that Daddy Yankee was moderating a debate between two potential candidates running for Governor at the Puerto Rican Convention Center yesterday, and we hear that El Cangri wasn’t necessarily welcomed with open arms…

According to la Isla’s publication Primera Hora, Daddy Yankee failed to make an “Impacto” as the moderator at the event. The reggaetonero added even more “Gasolina” to the fuego by reading straight from the prompter throughout the entire event, including his greetings ‘de corazón’ to the public. We also hear that Daddy Yankee’s haters joined forces outside of the convention center by burning DY memorabilia. CANDELA!
