We previously reported Emilio Estefan's plan to create a version of "We Are The World" in Spanish, and tomorrow in a Miami recording studio, he'll do just that.
This is the first time the 25 year old track has been recorded in Spanish and all proceeds will benefit Haitian relief efforts. While the talent roster for the recording hasn't been announced as of yet, Thalia and Chayanne are rumored to be on board, and of course, we know Gloria will lend her stellar vocals to the remake. MTV Tr3s will be on site at the event, and we'll have a full recap right here on the blog so make sure you check back!
Are you excited to hear "We Are The World" en espanol? We definitely are!

Last night, the White House became La Casa Blanca y nuestro Presidente brought out even more of his Latino side than he has already... At least that was the running joke from George Lopez, Eva Longoria Parker, and Jimmy Smits that started off the "Fiesta Latina" showcase last night.
The event not only hosted amazing Latino figures (including the first Hispanic to sit on the Supreme Court, Justice Sonia Sotomayor), it was really a celebration of our culture y nuestra música. Obama spoke about the global appeal of our ritmo Latino, and how all cultures can tune into it. Some of those bringing down the house were Gloria Estefan, José Feliciano, and Los Premios nominees for Best MTV Tr3s Artist, Aventura, among others. But our favorite performance came from Thalía who asked President Obama to dance with her and called him "Machooo!" Love it! Watch the clip of Obama dancing with Thalía here!
The grand finale had all the celebs on stage together, dancing to Gloria Estefan's "Mi Tierra." A perfect end to an amazing night. Stay tuned to MTV News for exclusive coverage.

Latinos continue to make us proud as they repesent our culture en la casa blanca! President Obama and the First Lady are hosting a concert series called, "Performance at the White House: Fiesta Latina." Ay, que rico! The program celebrates Hispanic heritage and includes performances by salsero Marc Anthony, Jimmy Smits, Gloria Estefan, José Feliciano, George Lopez, Thalia, Tito "El Bambino", our favorite bachateros Aventura, and the Chicano rock band Los Lobos.
Expected performers include living legend Carlos Santana, Miami-based Cubana and 80's pop icon Gloria Estefan, y el ídolo puertorriqueño Marc Anthony con su esposa Jennifer Lopez.
MTV News will be covering the event, so you can be sure that Tr3s will fill you in on all the juicy details! We have to admit, President Obama knows how to throw a party! [Quien]
President Barack Obama has hand picked Grammy Award winning music producer and songwriter, Emilio Estefan to join the Commision to Study the Potential Creation of a National Museum of the American Latino.
Que qué?

A place to celebrate Latinos all year long? Well that can't be too bad. ¡Que vivan Los Latinos!
Wondering what a day in the life of Thalía is like?
The Mexicana may spend her time preparing for her next album and being a full-time mamacita, but the "Ten Paciencia" singer always has tiempo to chill with amistades. Thalíaand her husband, Tommy Mottola are set to wine and dine with the king of Spain, Juan Carlos I and his entourage at the Hotel Biltmore in Miami tomorrow. The estrella will also be accompanied by longtime friends, Gloria and Emilio Estéfan and Enrique's father, Julio Iglesias.
The event helps benefit the "Hospitality, Management, and Tourism" program for Florida International University. How much does it cost to chill with the reinas and reyes of the industry? Admission goes for $1,000 a pop! Would you drop the dough for this fiesta? [MTV TR3s Radio Noticias]
