According to girl2watch.com, a blog that highlights rising female stars, she sure is!  Jazmin Lopez was featured last week as their weekly Girl 2 Watch!

What makes Jazmin tan especial?  Bueno, pues aparte from being the sexy host of MTV Tr3s' ReMexa, la bella Texana is also representing for las mujeres en el mundo de la música regional Mexicana, as the reigning "Princesa del Pasito Duranguense."

La cantante spilled about a variety of things, including her background growing up as an aspiring cantante on a border-town in Texas, to her favorite fashion designer (Gucci!).  Y claro, who better to ask about some of the interesting fashion (by which we mean the hats, of course) of the different sub-genres in regional Mexican music!

"The typical hat is your cowboy hat.  That is universal and it will go with anything, but it depends – depending on the genre how you shape your hat.  For the regular Norteno it’s a little crested, but the Duranguese, that’s like freaking wearing like a taco hat. Banda – they don’t use hats."

This week on ReMexa las cosas se ponen calientes! Memo Ibarra from Alacranes Musical and Jazmin take care of some unfinished business right in front of our cameras.

So it seems that Jazmin se quedo con las ganas despues de una escena de besos en su video "Noche De Copas!" Jazmin le pide a Memo que la bese. Make sure to tune in to Remexa este lunes at 6pm EST to see if he's man enough to do it!

If you know anything about la música Duranguense, then you must have noticed by now that there is algo muy extraño going on with Alacranes Musical.  Namely, the fact that there are now dos bandas con el mismo nombre.   El grupo that popularized Duranguense y la músia regional Mexicana broke up a few months ago after Alacranes Musical founder Oscar Urbina left the band due to conflicts with the guitarist and singer, Memo Ibarra and Omar "Teddy Bear" Sanchez.  Oscar Urbina and the remaining members of the band continue to use Alacranes Musical as their band name... but Memo Ibarra's group isn't giving up the name of the band that made them popular either.  This legal battle over the name is burning up more than una picada de alacrán!

ReMexa host and Duranguense princesa Jazmin Lopez caught up with Memo and Omar de Alacranes Musical to get the scoop on the legal drama going on between los dos grupos.  See the clip below, and tell us... which Alacranes Musical group do you prefer?  Who should keep the name?

Pero ahora le toca a la princesa! Jazmin Lopez drew her love spell on Guillermo Ibarra and Omar Sanchez during the taping of her new single, "Noche de Copas." Thankfully, we are always in good company at Entertainment as a Second Language...

This week is no different. We had the pleasure of having Dominican Diva Kat DeLuna, Christian Castro and our own ReMexa host Jazmin Lopez in the casa to keep Carlos company. Of course, Carlos repaid the gesture by interrogating Christian. Where are his manners??? Things heated up with the on air premiere of the new Wisin Y Yandel video "Abusadora," but Jazmin competed for our attention pretty well after a duranguense dance lesson for el público.

Catch a sneak peek here of Jazmin showing Carlos the nuevo quick step:

Then find out what summer movie people are most hyped about when E.S.L. airs Thursday at 9pm!

How did our ReMexa host Jazmin Lopez celebrate her Cinco de Mayo?

Not in an ordinary way that's for sure! The bella "Noche de Copas" singer shared her powerhouse voice at the Los Angeles Dodgers Stadium filled with pura raza! Our talented chica normally shines alongside Regional Mexican estrellas, but she took over the field like a true veteran solo artist while singing the National Anthem. She made the crowd go wild before the game even started! Let's just say los jugadores had a tough act to follow. Regional Mexican música better make room for las mujeres...

Mariachi Reyna are the original #1 all-female banda hailing from Los Angeles, California. Las chicas have made history and earned respect in the musical genre often taken over by los hombres. Their single, "Popurri Caundo Mexico Canta" has mesmerized audiences beyond the borders, and now Jazmin gets to hang out backstage and interview the first ladies after a live concert this week on Remexa De Noche.
