The People's Choice Awards went down at Los Angeles' Nokia theater Wednesday and it was an evening full of fun fashion!

First up! Dania Ramirez looked fierce in fuschia.

Sofia Vergara stole the show in a strapless gray gown and gold beaded necklace.

Jessica Alba shined in a metallic mini with capped sleeves.

Disney's Demi Lovato looked demure in blue ruffles.

Taylor Swift looked picture perfect in a white strapless mini and took home the award for Favorite Female Artist.

And we can't forget about the biggest winner of the night: TWILIGHT! The vamps swept the award show, claiming four trophies in total, including favorite movie, favorite on-screen team (an award given out to the entire cast) and favorite franchise. Taylor Lautner was awarded Favorite Breakout Actor as the series' sexy werewolf, Jacob Black.

Other major winners included Lady Gaga who won Favorite Breakout Music Artist and Favorite Pop Artist.  Johnny Depp won Favorite Movie Actor, while Miley Cyrus won Breakout Movie Actress. (People)

We LOVE Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem, but Pene and Johnny Depp...well, that's HOT too! Cruz is apparently being courted to play Depp's love interest in the fourth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean.

We have to admit, Penelope would make one hot sea wench! [LatinGossip]

The new animated film by 'Nightmare Before Christmas' mastermind Tim Burton, '9,' came out in theaters on 9.9.09 (que apropiado!).  So, why should you be rushing to the movie theater to see it?  Okay, there aren't any Latino puppets en la película and you won't see Johnny Depp anywhere, but don't let that fool you into thinking you won't enjoy this one!

La película is a refreshing take on the slew of post-apocalyptic movies invading los teatros these days (not to be confused with 'District 9,' currently scaring our pantalones off with fear of an alien invasion gone awry).  '9' has got the grit and stylized CGI imagery of movies like 'The Matrix,' but also some truly lovable and cute characters (in a steampunk and futuristic kind of way).  Also, it stars cutie Elijah Wood of 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy fame as la voz del personaje principal, 9.  9 is an underdog outsider who must be brave en un tiempo de dificultad to pull his friends, himself, y el mundo entero, out of the darkness.  We can relate to that!

Still have no idea what we're talking about?  Watch an exclusive clip from the movie below:

Okay, so maybe we didn't give you nueve razones to see the movie, but who cares, the world is ending and our future is in 9's hands! Creemos que that's a good enough reason to see it. Get some more details about la película by watching MTV Movies' Rough Cut with co-producer, Tim Burton!

Now that Johnny Depp has signed on to play Francisco "Pancho" Villa in the upcoming film Seven Friends of Pancho Villa and the Woman with Six Fingers, he can add mastering un acento Mexicano to his resume.  Not up to snuff on your historia?  Pancho Villa was one bad-ass Mexican Revolutionary general who served as governor over the División del Norte (the Northern Mexico state of Chihuahua) in the early 1900's.  Villa, who is best-known for overthrowing the dictatorial government of Victoriano Huerta, remains a national pop culture hero in Mexico today.

If we had to pick one non-Latino actor to play el jefe Mexicano, it would the bad boy of 21 Jump Street.  After all, if Johnny Depp can pull off a flamboyant Caribbean pirate with shades of Mick Jagger or a bloodthirsty barber with a penchant for musical asides, who says he can't fill los zapatos de un revolucionario padrísimo?  Joining Depp onscreen is real-life Mexicana Salma Hayek, which tells us that passion and romance will not be lacking in this flick!

Looks like you might need to keep the Tecate en hielo before celebrating this monumental movie release.  The film's director, Emir Kusturica, tells Blic.com that Seven Friends... will not begin shooting until 2010 or 2011, due to Depp's "already arranged obligations."  Kusturica and Depp have worked together previously on the 1993 film Arizona Dream.
