Well, that was certainly worth the wait.

On Thursday night (March 11), after months of anticipation, leaked on-set photos and rather excellent adventures in hairstyling, Lady Gaga's epic video for "Telephone" finally premiered during E! News, and, honestly, if there's something she didn't cram into the clip, well, then we missed it.

"Telephone" is nine-plus minutes of everything you could possibly love about Gaga (and her co-star Beyonce) only amped up to the Nth degree.

It's ambitious, funny and clever, playing much more like a short film than a music video. There are opening and closing credits, elaborate, over-the-top (or barely there) costumes, and a whole lot of celebrity cameos. This cost money, this took time, this was a work of love, blood, sweat and tears (and a whole lot of hairspray). This was worth it.

With "Telephone," Gaga has entered the rarest of pop stratospheres, up there with the Madonnas and the, gasp, Michael Jacksons. We're not comparing talent, just ability: ability to wow, to enthrall and put on a show — one can only hope is continued sometime very soon. What did you think of the video? (MTVNews)

Check out these official photos from Lady Gaga's highly anticipated video for her latest single 'Telephone' featuring Beyonce!

To say we’re anticipating this one would be an understatement, particularly in light of GaGa’s much-touted statement:

"Sorry for the 'Bad Romance’ video – as this is that much better."

Hmmm...We thought 'Bad Romance' was pretty good. Did you? We can't wait to compare 'Video Phone' and 'Telephone'! Can you? Check out more behind-the-scenes photos after the jump! (ThatGrapeJuice)

World-renowned fashion designer Alexander McQueen was found dead in London at age 40; early reports say suicide.

The death of the go-to celebrity designer comes just days before the start of London Fashion Week and a few weeks prior to Paris Fashion Week where McQueen was scheduled to show. Perhaps even more telling, his death comes just days after the death of his beloved mother on Feb 2nd.

His office released the following statement:

"At this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with McQueen's family. His family has asked for privacy in order to come to terms with this terrible news and we hope the media will respect this."

His runway shows — more often like performance pieces because they were so dramatic, and sometimes, bizarre — were always a highlight during the Paris ready-to-wear fashion week.

Alexandra Shulman, the Editor and Chief of British Vogue had this to say:

“McQueen influenced a whole generation of designers. His brilliant imagination knew no bounds as he conjured up collection after collection of extraordinary designs. At one level he was a master of the fantastic, creating astounding fashions shows that mixed design, technology and performance and on another he was a modern day genius whose gothic aesthetic was adopted by women the world over.”

A longtime fashion innovator, the London-born McQueen got his start making custom suits for none other than Prince Charles. He has regularly dressed fashion "It" girls like: Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Gwen Stefani, Madonna, Cameron Diaz, Sarah Jessica Parker, Janet Jackson, and Fergie, just to name a few.

The four-time British Designer of the Year, Commander of the British Empire and International Designer of the Year will be sadly missed. (E!)

Lady Gaga simply adores her little monsters. And, for those of you who are not hip to Gaga's lingo, "little monsters" is her pet name for her fans. So after she took home two Grammy Awards on Sunday night, she decided to make her love for her fans permanent.

Gaga took to her Twitter to show off a new tattoo that reads "Little Monsters" in swirling script on her arm. She tweeted:

"Look what I did last night. Little monsters forever, on the arm that holds my mic. Xx."

As if getting inked in their honor weren't enough, in the days since she won her Grammys, she's been tweeting a slew of thank-yous to her fans, saying that she's even found a very special place for her newest awards.

"We won big tonight little monsters. I am so proud to make music 4 you. I hope I continue to inspire u the way u inspire me. You're everything. Woooh little monsters! I'm going to put these right next to all your beautiful fan art. I love you. x."

What do you think of Gaga's latest ink? Are you one of her "little monsters"? Tell us in the comments below! (MTVNewsroom)

There were plenty of over-the-top moments during Sunday night's (January 31) 52nd annual Grammy Awards, but none of them could outshine Beyoncé and Taylor Swift.

Yes, the dynamic duo — who were nominated for a combined 16 Grammy Awards — took home 10 of them, with Beyoncé winning six, including Song of the Year, and Swift snagging four, including the night's biggest trophy, Album of the Year.

Swift's three other Grammys came in the country category, with Fearless winning Best Country Album and her hit "White Horse" grabbing Best County Song and Best Female Country Vocal Performance. Beyoncé's haul was spread out across many categories. "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" won three Grammys, for Song of the Year, Best R&B Song and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. "Halo" won for Best Pop Female Vocal Performance, and her version of Etta James' "At Last" took home the award for Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance.

"This has been such an amazing night for me," Bey said while accepting her Best Female Pop award. "I'd like to thank my family, including my husband [Jay-Z, just in case anyone didn't know]. I love you."

Following close behind Beyoncé and Swift were a few artists who won three Grammys, including Jay-Z (Best Rap Solo Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration) and the Black Eyed Peas; Eminem took home two awards; and Lady Gaga won two of her own (though both were during the pre-televised ceremony).

But for all the award-accepting merriment, it was the performances that shined brightest on this Grammy night. Or at least they shined the loudest. Show producers gave out only a handful of awards during the actual telecast, deciding to focus instead on the talents they had assembled inside the Staples Center, and that talent delivered, with one massive spectacle after the next.

Lady Gaga kicked off the show with a theatrical version of "Poker Face" — which featured a steam-powered set dubbed "The Fame Factory," some flames and a pair of seriously sparkly shoulder pads — then welcomed Elton John to the stage for a dueling-piano take on Gaga's "Speechless." And, in keeping with the rather flamboyant nature of both artists, show producers made sure their conjoined piano was topped with severed mannequin arms.

It was a pretty epic opening, but Beyoncé didn't back down from the challenge. She stormed into Staples with an army of riot-gear-clad escorts, then got down to belting out a fiery version of "If I Were a Boy," complete with a shredding backing band and a brief foray into Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know." She wrapped up her performance by channeling her inner Tina Turner, dropping to her knees and singing for the rafters. By the time B had gotten to her feet, so had the audience, who showered her with applause.

Pink got aerial (and soaking wet) during her performance of "Glitter in the Air," which saw her wrapped in linen, sent soaring above the crowd at Staples, then dipped into a pool of water. The Black Eyed Peas rattled the roof with a booming medley of their hits, which featured a battalion of electric-clad dancers, Fergie donning her Robocop finest and Will.I.Am rocking an inexplicable black molding of his head on his head.  And Lil Wayne, Eminem, Drake and Travis Barker roared versions of Weezy's "Drop the World" and D's "Forever," though, judging by the frequent audio drops, it would seem the network censors got a little too anxious with the "delay" button.

There was also a 3-D tribute to the late Michael Jackson to "Earth Song," while 3-D images played around the performers and featured unintentionally comical shots of stars like Rihanna, Beyoncé and Will.I.Am wearing their 3-D glasses in the audience. It will probably be remembered best for what happened next, as two of Jackson's children — son Prince and daughter Paris — accepted an honorary lifetime-achievement award in their father's memory.

"I want to thank the fans, our father loved you so much," Prince said, his voice wavering slightly. "We will continue to spread his message and help the world."

"Daddy was going to be here; he was going to perform this year, [because] he couldn't perform last year," his daughter Paris added. "Thank you. We love you, Daddy."

It was an emotional moment in a night largely bereft of themand Wyclef's from-the-heart speech about his native Haiti — in which he spoke in Creole and thanked the world for their support, before adding, "We will continue" — did manage to tug on the heartstrings.

But this night will probably be best remembered for Beyoncé and Swift's dominance, not to mention the sheer spectacle of the performances, which proved that even in dour times, the music industry knows how to throw a party — a massive, eye-popping, over-the-top one at that. (MTVNews)

Taylor Swift seems to be the favorite to win big at the 2010 Grammys on Sunday night. To triumph, though, she'll have to beat fellow fierce ladies Beyoncé and Lady Gaga in three top categories: Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Six-time Grammy winner John Legend, who's up for another statue this year, is a big supporter of all three artists, but he has a feeling the youngest is going to walk away with the most awards.

Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor is already a hero to us, but she will now officially get the superhero treatment thanks to Bluewater Productions. The company is creating a comic book based on Sotomayor's meteoric rise to the Supreme Court. The comic will join the company's Female Force series which also features Lady Gaga and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, among other notable women.

Sotomayor's comic book will be released in April 2010. Bluewater Productions released this synopsis of the upcoming comic book:

The Supremes have a new member! Meet the latest justice to don the black robes of America's highest court. Sonia Sotomayor rose from humble beginnings in a Bronx housing project to become only the third woman and the first Latina to sit on the U.S. Supreme Court. Relive her historic journey in a comic book biography that's ripped from today's headlines. (Latina)

Sounds like a fun educational read! Will you buy it?

Many mainstream music listeners may not know about Aventura. However, this week the Bachata boys are making history by not only out selling the new avant garde sensation Lady Gaga, but they're also the first Latino group ever to snag four dates at New York City's Madison Square Garden with shows tonight, tomorrow and Feb. 1 and 2; putting them in a league with the likes of Madonna.

While Aventura toplines the 19,000-strong Madison Square Garden, Lady Gaga is performing down the street at Radio City Music hall, a 6,000 capacity venue, for an equal number of shows.  That puts Aventura on track to sell more than three times the number of tickets La Gaga can.

By that measure, it may seem odd that, of the two, it's Gaga who gets all the press. To that, Romeo had this to say:

"We don't mind that she's treated differently. We're in a different world. Artists (like Lady Gaga) have a major label and lots of marketing behind them. But it's even more exciting for us to know that we're accomplishing these things without having that machine."

For 21 weeks, Aventura's most recent CD, "The Last," has sat atop Billboard's Latin Music Chart, spawning three No. 1 singles while supporting a tour that ranks among the three top-grossing road shows of '09, right behind Miley Cyrus' and Britney Spears'

With this type of success, rumors of a crossover album plague the Bronx born Bachata crooners. Romeo weighed in on the ongoing controversy:

"Personally I would never separate Spanish and English. I don't want to say we don't care about a crossover. But we're not saying 'Oh, we got to do it.' We're doing things that, honestly, a lot of Anglos can't — like four Garden shows. For us, that's enough."  (NYDailyNews)

It's enough for us too!

Pop sensation Lady Gaga was forced to cancel a concert on her sold-out “Fame Monster Tour” after she collapsed just before taking the stage in Indiana on Thursday night.

The “Bad Romance” hitmaker was scheduled to perform at Purdue University in Indiana but pulled out at the last minute after paramedics discovered her heart was beating irregularly.

Gaga took to her Twitter to address her adoring fans:

"I've been crying for hours, I feel like I let my fans down 2nite. An hour before the show, I was feeling dizzy and having trouble breathing"

"Paramedics came to take care of me, and told me my heart-rate was irregular– a result of exhaustion and dehydration."

"Can't apologize enough for how sorry I am. I could hear my fans cheering from my dressing room, I begged everyone to let me go onstage."

"My stage has complicated mechanical elements, everyone was concerned I'd be in danger during the 2hr show, since I had passed out earlier."

"I am so devastated. I have performed with the flu, a cold, strep throat: I would never cancel a show just based on discomfort."

"I hope you can forgive me. I love my little monsters more than anything, you are everything to me. I will make-up the performance on Jan 26." (Twitter)

Gaga's tour promoter, LiveNation, announced that Saturday's show in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Sunday's in Wallingford, Connecticut, had been cancelled, and that Monday's in Uncasville, Connecticut will be rescheduled. The singer's doctor has advised her to take a few days off, according to a statement issued today.

Get better soon Gaga! (MTVNews)
