Jennifer Lopez has spent most of her singing career at Sony Music Epic Records, but after today, that relationship ended like most of her marriages-cold turkey! Some say Lopez fulfilled her Sony contract with her last two singles, while others are speculating that Sony dropped her.

Her manager Benny Medina confirmed the split this morning.
"Jennifer had a wonderful relationship with the Sony Music group, and they have shared many successes together, but the time was right to make a change that best serves the direction her career as an actress and recording artist. She is grateful and appreciative to everyone Sony for all that they accomplished together."
Lopez insiders claim the decision was "a mutual one" between the star and label’s current CEO Rob Stringer (younger brother to Sony parent company CEO Howard Stringer). The rumor is the two had a meeting at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles during Grammy week, and, after a "heart-to-heart" conversation, the star and executive decided to end the long relationship. “It was all very amicable. They hugged at the end of the meeting,” claims one. Meanwhile, Sony will still be releasing her "Greatest Hits" album in the fall.
There also is disagreement on how finished her upcoming album was before it was canceled. Internet reports say her 7th studio album, titled "Love?", was supposed to come out in April. A song from it titled "Fresh Out The Oven" surfaced online in October 2009 as a buzz single and reached #1 on the U.S. Hot Dance Club Songs chart. But the official lead single, "Louboutins", had its radio debut on November 23 following the song's premiere and performance at the 2009 American Music Awards and then peaked at #31 on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart.Lopez insiders claim the album was "by no means done" and everyone was "only a few songs into it" and "unlike movie dates, street dates rarely hold in the music biz". Others say the album isn't being released because "Louboutins" bombed, as did her performance at the American Music Awards.
Supposedly, Lopez hasn't wasted any time getting signed elsewhere: it’s rumored she is already in talks with Island Def Jam’s bigwig L.A. Reid to come to his label.
Could Jennifer stage a comeback? Or should she call it quits?

Jennifer Lopez will attempt to "break" prime-time's most infamous womanizer, Barney (Neil Patrick Harris), when she guest-stars on "How I Met Your Mother" this season. Lopez, who tried her hand as a late-night host during "Lopez Tonight" last week, seems to be making a habit of appearing on the small screen.

According to a press release, Lopez will play a self-help author, Anita Appleby, who writes about the ways "to train men into relationship machines through the power of denial." After she learns about Barney's treatment towards women from Robin (Cobie Smulders), Appleby wants to tame him.
"We couldn't be more excited about Jennifer Lopez joining us on 'How I Met Your Mother,' " executive producer and co-creator Carter Bays said of the latest celebrity cameo on his hit CBS comedy. "We're looking forward to a week of revealing outfits and sexy dance moves the likes of which this show hasn't seen since Regis Philbin guest-starred."
Lopez is also rumored to be making a guest appearance on "Glee." According to reports, the show's producers are trying to get her on the show to play a cafeteria worker. "Discussions are ongoing and we haven't gotten into the episode(s) [Lopez would] be appearing in," "Glee" executive producer Brad Falchuk told E! Online.
With all this self promotion, we have to wonder what's going on with Jenny's music career. Her new album, Love?, was originally scheduled to come out in January, but it's since been pushed back to April. Her first single "Louboutins" was released to mixed reviews while the electro beat of "Everybody's Girl" is sure to be a club hit.
We can't wait for the lp, but what do you think about her appearance on "How I Met Your Mother?" Can Jlo tame a womanizer? We think yes! (MTVNews)

If you're on the East coast, you probably caught Jennifer Lopez's epic fall during her performance of "Louboutins" at Sunday's American Music Awards. If you reside out west, you might have missed it - the hilarious embarrassing clip was edited out of the West coast feed. Instead, they showed JLo's jump in slow motion and cut to her standing up. De todas maneras, we're sure you've heard about it by now (and you can watch the clip here too)!

La canta-actriz boricua and mother of 2 isn't taking all the joking at her expense lightly! JLo called Ryan Seacrest's radio show esta mañana and attempted to joke about the incident.
"Did I trip a little bit? I don't even remember. Yeah, I meant to do that. That was part of the choreography."
Um, sorry, pero no te creemos ese cuento! We do give her mad props for her quick recovery though!
Jenny made sure to mention, "The measure of things isn't what happens when you fall, it's how you recover when you fall."
