Rolling Stone magazine threw a party for their latest cover girl Shakira last night at the Bowery Hotel in New York City. La Loba looked lovely in a black sequined jacket, loose white tank, sky high black pumps, and tight jeans. Pero fue su pelo that caught everyone's attention. Looks like Shaki is heading back to that twisted locks look.

What do you think? Love it or Hate it?

Shakira also accepted a plaque commemorating 1 million copies sold of her album's title track. Su nuevo album, She-Wolf, will be released en los Estados Unidos in two weeks. Will you pick it up?

Shakira is releasing a new U.S. single off her She Wolf album due out this November, and for this one she hooked up with none other than Lil Wayne. The track called "Give It Up To Me," fué producida by hit maker Timbaland, which makes us think this one should be sending us straight out to the dancefloor. Weeepa, it's Miss Shaki baaaby!
Take a listen for yourselves, check out the track on Shaki's Myspace page. Qué piensan? [Shakira.com]

Shakira shows off her Loba steeze on the cover of November's issue of I-D Magazine, and brings a high fashion hauteness to the inside spread.

On the She Wolf video, Shaki tells I-D:
I wanted to express my vision, I wanted to articulate with images what I feel the song relates to, what it symbolizes. The golden cage that I'm in is a metaphor, because I feel like I've been inside a golden cage in my life for many years, with the anticipation of an animal wanting to get out. When I got into that cage for the first time for the shoot, I started hanging from the bars upside down... the whole performance in that cage is an improvisation. I felt somehow possessed by the spirit of the She Wolf. The She Wolf that has been inside of me all of these years, longing to come out. I feel much more like a woman today. I feel more inclined to certain things, to express myself in certain ways and to talk about things with less prudence.

Shakira also opens up about marriage plans with novio Antonio de la Rua (none so far), and about Obama's Inauguration.

Shaki also has another reason to be thankful, her album "She Wolf" was released in Europe and Latin America today. The album doesn't hit the States 'til November 17th, but we're sure it'll be worth the wait! [Latin Gossip/ SOFTPEDIA]

No she's not becoming a gypsy, but our favorite Colombiana (and hot hippie/rocker chica!) Shakira, is back with a new song off of her She Wolf album, called "Gypsy." The ballad features drums, strings, harmonicas... You know, all of those earthy type instruments that make you feel like you're running shoeless through a meadow with the wind blowing in your hair ::sigh::

The song was co-written by Spanish-Indian artist Amanda Ghost, who has worked with some of the best of the best like Beyonce y la Jordin Sparks!
"Cause I'm a gypsy
But are you coming with me?
I might steal your clothes
And wear them if they fit me," she sings.
Hmmm catchy. Thoughts? [Latina Magazine]

La espera to see Shakira's latest album cover is over! The Colombian pop diva posted the super-ardiente cover for "She Wolf" on her website today. Excuse us while we take a few moments to recover from the hotness!

"She Wolf," like her earlier album "Oral Fixation," will be released in English with a separate counterpart version en Español ("Loba"). While Shakira is sticking true to her sexy rock-influenced look on the new album cover, complete with sensual tousled locks, a shiny skin-tight corset and heavy black eyeliner, she's really turned the sex-appeal dial up to 11! Shakira isn't taking her role as a Loba lightly - she will eat you alive!
Shaki's "She Wolf" album hits stores October 13th -- but in the meantime, you can still howl como una loba in anticipation. Watch the video for "Loba" (again! We know you love it!) below! [Shakira.com]

That's right, Shakira's adding even more sazón to an already out-of-control sexy video by howling in her native tongue. How do you translate "aaa-oooooo" en español?
We're all about female empowerment and strong women, pero de verdad esperamos que esta canción no sea dedicada a Antonio De La Rúa! Do you think Shaki's man can satisfy her voracious apetito?
Respira muy profundo, this is a HOT one! Shakira has unveiled her latest masterpiece (y mucho de su cuerpo también) with su nuevo video, "She Wolf." Hear that panting? We can't tell if it's coming from Shaki la loba o nosotros!!

There's really not much we can say about this video, menos que la cantante Colombiana really lives up to the hype! It's smokingly sexy, and we are completely mesmerized by Shaki's undulating cage dancing and primitivistic moves. Mesmerized! Lycanthropy has never looked this good!
